Arc Raiders

Torrid evening, every solo raid this evening had someone taking pot shot at my back! I'm not very good at the PvP aspect so I often come off the worst.
On the contrary I had a very productive solo evening. Lots of weapons and loot, and I've spent a fair bit of time in high level loot areas. Duped a lot of weapon blueprints which I'll give to my mate when he's on next.
Want the Wolfpack blueprint now, but apparently its mainly a night raid find.
Had no negative interactions and didnt engage in combat with any people, even helped a few struggling against Arc. Always announce my presence using the greet function, seems to disarm most folks.

I've noticed that so many people walk about with weapon put away... I never put my weapon away! I work on a policy of zero trust.
Be wary, trust nobody, hope for the best but be ultimately prepared for the worst.

Did two solo rounds, first one at Stella with a helpful person pointing out good loot that I was just walking by... Ooops. The second was just doing a solo night raid, came across a gunfight, looked like two people going at it with ARC involved... left that alone. Made my way to extract and could hear shots. Went to investigate/help and someone was knocked! I called the elevator, got spotted by a snitch, it all kicked off waiting for the damn elevator but we both escaped!

Still loving this game and on daily.
I have taken a more aggressive route now though and engage players more often, this has resulted in more sweaty games and making the challenges far harder to complete, I do think there are hidden queues in this game that place you with like minded players, which is a good thing imo, had around 6 games last night and every encounter was hostile.
I find it very easy to get good loot very quickly, a quick 10 minute run on spaceport will bag me a good haul, you just have to know where to go for the good stuff.
When you get the hang of killing the arcs it becomes very easy aside from the matriarchs etc so adding the fear factor of being pvp'd helps to keep the game challenging.

I felt a bit naughty just now. On space port, playing solos, some guy taking on a bastion, I was chatting a bit to him, sort of helped him out. I did put several Anvil rounds into the weak spot and got the final blow, but he did far the majority of the damage using nades etc.

Anyway wondered over he was saying sometimes these things drop bastion core, I'm like yea should do whilst I'm furiously checking each part.

Anyway found like 3/4 bastion cores straight in the safe spot and ran off lol.

Holy crap, got my new 5080 today the MSI Extreme OC and maxed out Arc in 4k with DLAA is like 80fps solid. Draw distance is really good which helps spotting snitches from across the map in spaceport. Me and BUD camping roofs racking up our trails score :D

Weren't you done with this game ? ;-)

No?

But I play it a lot less at the moment, first time in days actually having matches, mostly to get trials score to something acceptable and try out the new card. The way trials are now there's no point in being super sweaty about them, 3* each one for rewards is enough.

Enjoy it a lot more when we have goals to work towards like someone stations or their projects or quests. it's fun helping people, it's actually pretty mid once you've run out of reasons to go places, PvP alone for me doesn't carry the experience. I'll definitely be resetting after much thought about the game seasonal loops, because it will add things to work towards again which hopefully extends my interest in it.

Stitcher's are one of the best PVP weapons and really cheap to craft and upgrade. It's one of the issues with the game that the Ferro and the Stitcher which you can get for free via a free loadout or are easy to craft and upgrade are better than many of the higher tier guns.
I've carried one for my last four or five raids - and every time I've fired it at another player, they've died. It chews through players so quickly! Just tonight I was trying to extract when someone attacked me from behind with a Rattler - I dodged, turned and blasted him before he could even run for cover. I mean, great for me, but I stand by my comments about free loadout weapons needing a nerf in PvP - but much like the Venator, I can see the Stitcher getting some adjustments no matter what.

Yea stitcher is good for PvP.

To be honest Ferro for pve and Stitcher PvP, carry both around cheap as chips to make.

Don't even bother upgrading the ferro, run an extended mag on the stitcher, you can upgrade the stitcher to level 2/3 really cheap, level 1 looting augment, light shield, some heals.

All really cheap stuff and if you die it doesn't matter.

That's basically my "free" load out, the problem with running the actual free load out is that WILL be the game you randomly luck out and get a really high level blueprint. Having the safe spot is a game changer.

Liking the kettle upgraded more & more for pvp too, especially on stella montis, knocked 6 raiders with it on a free loadout yesterday in a duo :D
