That sounds massively unlikely, the Wolfpacks don't 1 hit anything big.

It's with the blaze mine. We tried it last night after hearing about it, it's pretty tricky to actually do because you've got to be in exactly the right spot. It's also tricky because blaze mines are insanely hard to actually find and getting to that spot under the queen is a bit rough!
First time out we died - but second time we managed it without too much fuss.
It's essentially putting the mine 'inside' the side part of the queen so it detonates and basically burns her from the inside. I'm guessing it'll be patched quickly to stop it from doing 'internal' damage.

If there's enough of you wanting to farm it you could do what Lirik did with his viewers, all queue up for Asia server at same time so you get in then can do this:

I heard about this the other night but never saw the technique until now, I've got a loadout ready to go. Blaze traps are easy to make, just wires plus a blaze grenade, they drop all over the map in loot spots, I had 10 in my inventory spare. I wouldn't bet on patches being super fast, there's well known issues with the game which should be trivial fixes which have not been patched yet. The sad truth is it's probably not worth it, the queen gives legendary cores to craft the legendary weapons, but they're more Arc focused. Right now they're no where near part of the games META, everyone good is running the dual shot pistol up close. If you watch any of the sweaty streamers who are good, they've already worked out the best loadouts and small sections of maps to fight over. The pistol is so broken they expect that to be fixed and are already stocking the next best guns which will be the anticipated next META once the current one is balanced.
None of it requires queen cores. There's no real point in fighting the queen at the moment, especially considering the odds of you being backstabbed for the cores is really high. The queen is a nice spectacle, but it's just that right now. You dont even need to kill it to get into the harvester, I solo'd that on my 2nd attempt, it's tricky and buggy but it's actually very do-able once you know the routine.

Less PvE, more PvP, more anxiety and tension, more gear losing and , imo, more fun (but I can understand that for some people the aforementioned breakdown means its less fun

What I could do with doing is taking down some of the bigger arcs to get some materials for upgrades. They're tricky to take on solo.

I've still not had someone backstab me yet, mind you when it comes to "official" squads I only squad up with reallife friends and other trustworthy folk

The amount of different things you can loot is a bit overwhelming, and other than stuff I'm tracking, I'm not really find looting that satisfying as I don't know what half of it is for.
I'm struggling to upgrade any of my workshop beyond level 1 (I've only done gunsmith and need 1 toaster for refiner).
I am still enjoying it though.

Someone posted a pdf earlier in the thread which shows which loot is sell/recycle and which loot is needed for quests/upgrades etc
