Arc Raiders

I was searching for a quest objective and bumped into a friendly.

I was ready to die, went in free loadout and had no gear fear. After speaking and flashing the flashlight the guy gave me an osprey blueprint that I don't already have then left!

It was a sweaty run to the station after that, and a camper tried to take me out. But that gave me the single most satisfying kill of the game I've had so far, and I managed to extract.

Didn't complete the quest tho :D

Still at level 20 running around with light shields and two stitchers with extended mags. relatively easy to fill griefers full of bullets when you can swap weapons and skip a reload. I have not found any blueprints but have a maxxed out loot storage full of high level materials im convinced i will need the moment i sell them off.

Still fun for me, though i would like to be able to damage armoured arc's at some point.

Run a ferro with the stitcher, does well against arcs and tends to get rid of raiders shields with 1 shot, then switch to stitcher to finish them off :D
 
So, did 3 runs earlier, all to Buried City since I had one of those day quests, to extract safely from Buried City thing to do.

Spawned in in a raider camp, cleaned out things around and got a few bench upgrade things, but then as I was about to extract a played showed up and killed me ! :mad:

So went a second time, surprisingly I spawned in at the exact same spot as earlier ! I picked up what was there and then headed towards the extraction point, shoot down an ARC and then saw another player. We both said Don't Shot at the same time then went our separate ways. Found the downed ARC and got some more bench upgrades from it. So down the stairs to the subway and extracted, and another player joined me, no shoots fired.

Third time, spawned in at the Library in Buried City so started looting. Found a purple silencer, went in to the safe slot and as I was clearing things on the second floor, a player shows up. I'm saying Don't Shot, but that was what he did, so had a little fire fight but I lost and died again.

Wish the game had NCP's you could hire as body guards while you out and scavenging !! (Or maybe be able to hack an ARC and have it guard you ?? :D ) Because I seriously need one as I am only lvl 10 and have all grey weapons. :p .. Although, saying that, both players that killed me had grey too, a Stitcher and the second one had a Rattler. So I am guessing the free loaded in and was there to just kill players. :( Just shucks since all I am trying to do is get stuff to upgrade my benches. At least I have the 3 Very Comfortable Pillows for Scrappy now (got 2 on these 3 runs).
 
Accidentally loaded into a Buried City night map when loaded out with all my top gear that I'd loaded up to hunt for a Bastion or Bombardier for bench upgrades.
Luckily I found a Bombardier with no players around and blew it up with the wolfpacks that I can now easily craft. It makes it way to easy to take out these big Arcs now, but the threat is still there of being sniped by players while looting the wreckage. Managed to extract successfully while sweating that I would get jumped, so I kept all my stuff for a change.

On another Buried City run had someone take some potshots at me, but as I had my Bettina II on me I fired back and completely nuked his shield with a couple of shots which seemed to put them off pursuing me, so I was free to retreat and recharge. I love this gun, but I just know that I've only got it on loan so to speak!

Am i right in saying that when you send your guy off in a caravan you get FIVE bonus points when you reset?

is this the same every time, so after a bunch of resets you will be able to max all 3 trees? i must admit normally i dont do resets........ but if it is 5 bonus points for a new character on top of the ones you get noramlly then i think that may tip me over the edge.

currently only level 10 however so may not make it in time to reset this time.

You might get five bonus points.

It depends on the amount of currency you have and the value of your stash at the time of the reset.
Embark hasn't said how much is needed.

But the wording is up to five skill points.
 
ahhh ok, so in all likelyhood the minimum will be 1, which is what i would get.

sorry another silly question which may be answered already.

have they made clear if the points are accumulative, or is it a max of up to 5 accross all resets.

I can see 3 scenarions

1) they add up every wipe, ultimately allowing you to fill all 3 branches.
2) they add up every wipe, but only to a max of 5 and then you are maxed out.

3) you get a max of up to 5 points after a wipe, but previous extra points are lost.. meaning if you had 3 points due to a previous wipe, but then wiped again, you could end up with less points next time.

if it is 1) then i will probably wipe as soon as i can

if it is 2 or most certainly if it is 3 then i wont wipe until i think i can get the full 5 points and then will likely never wipe again.

Thanks, didn't know that ! Then again I have no clue where to go, I just loot and extract most of the times. Probably should have a better plan, but since I get so unlucky with losing my gear I do need lots of resources to craft weapons/looting items. I done free load runs, but have got some nice drops then and obviously gotten killed and lost it all. My one and only blueprint went that way, was the Jolt Mine blueprint. So prefer to load in with at least one safe pocket now days. :o :p

It's really cheap to craft a looting 2 augment, with 2 safe pockets (Once you've upgraded the bench). Then you can just go in on a night raid not caring if you die as you have two safe pockets for blueprints or expensive items. It's quick and cheap enough to add a shield and a stitcher to that to help fend off poppers and flamers. Far better than a free loadout. Though a free loadout is a good way to get some free ordinance for minimalist night runs.
 
Thats three for three today, all of them rat camping ********. I know I said I wouldnt solo anymore. Well I had the day off so just thought I'd do a bit of cheap easy basic resource runs to replenish the stocks from last nights Duo shenanigans. I lost nothing more than the boring basic stuff I picked up as I went in free loadout, hell one of the runs I was fresh spawn, hadnt picked up anything. However it was a complete waste of my time.
Solo just plain and simple not fun at the moment. Trying to play in good faith, but I'm pretty much done with it.

make sure you've crossplay turned off. the console kiddies are just that, kiddies. or try going NA servers - they're much less shoot on sight, i'm guessing because most folk mostly speak the same lingo so it's easier using mic. but yea, solo on EU servers is just horrible for the most part.

Take Tombstone with you, it’ll be like your own invincibility shield no one will shoot at you and it will rain gold from the heavens. :D

I went the entire weekend without being shot at by anyone :) , still a mystery as to why. However this week I'm running with my high end gear as its the last opportunity before the wipe, so maybe that will change this week
