Arc Raiders

I’m wondering does surrendering have a negative or neutral effect. I have not noticed being moved to aggressive lobbies after doing it. I surrendered a lot of times over the last couple of days and did some Stella Montis runs yesterday and was in a very friendly lobby for all of them.
As things stand, surrendering makes it so that you have played a round without firing a shot.

The theory goes that this means the algorithm thinks you've gone a round without any PvP and adjusts your matchmaking accordingly. Skewing it towards pve.
If you keep surrendering you get stacks of back to back PvP-free games and eventually you end up in the mainly pve lobbies without actually needing to play a round at all.

Or so the theory goes. People have tested it and have said that it is an effective way to game the system. I haven't tried it myself.

Ideally surrendering that early wouldn't impact your matchmaking at all, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
It certainly doesn't move you towards more PvP focussed lobbies tho.

I spawned into Dam last night to find two dead bodies right in front of me with no loot so I think it's definitely something people are doing

Hotfix 1.13.1
Raiders!

Yesterday’s update introduced a handful of unintended issues. We are rolling out a hotfix that addresses the most impactful ones we’ve identified so far. Xbox will be delayed but we are actively working on it and during this time, Xbox players will unfortunately not be able to cross play.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused unintended fire rate changes to several weapons.
Dev Note: Following yesterday’s update, some weapons were affected by a bug that reduced their rate of fire. This was not an intentional change. We always aim to include all changes in our patch notes, and we appreciate you flagging this quickly.
  • Fixed an issue where some cosmetics available through Raider Tokens were missing from the customization menu if they hadn’t been purchased yet.

  • Fixed an issue where parts of the Ukrainian localization unintentionally appeared in the game.
Dev Note: We’re actively working on a full Ukrainian translation among other languages for ARC Raiders and will release once they are ready.

  • We have heard you wondering about the loot appearing too slowly. We have rebalanced the speed at which the first item appears when looting. The looting speed before 1.13.0 was unintended. Players with the Looter’s Instincts unlocked will still see loot faster than those without.
Thank you for reporting these issues and for your patience while we work through them.

See you Topside,
//Ossen

Oh they've definitely upped the loot rate.

Check this, in 10 minutes......

Getting the hang of it now - up to level 10 and had a few decent games with rando's in groups last night.

Mixing bit of PVP with passive play and so far lobbies still seem "friendly" so must be keeping the balance about OK.

Finally got the wolfpack BP from dam this evening along with the TV for the last quest.

All 7 new quests completed and means I can stay away from Stella Mantis!

Loads of rounds last night right after the patch. Not fired at once, despite coming across plenty raiders. Even did a quest with some randoms. This was in solos and duos.

Odd.

Theyre on the bird event on BC in the chimney stacks apparantly

Singles and duos have been pretty good recently with only a few incidents but Trios are currently utterly pointless its just constant PvP and mainly muppets camping extracts :(

They Need to add the PVP toggle

In first run today I completed the Buried City recon quest and got two really good blueprints I didn't have already for getting 3 stars on Wasp damage trial. Noice.

Anyone know how long this new project runs for and if there are any decent rewards? Seems like an awful lot of loot grinding.

I am not sure what you mean by project.

The trials currently run for a week with a reset around Monday at 7am GMT.

The quests have no timeframe. Likewise, the latest "project" trophy display has no time limit (note, other projects e.g. the winter candleberries run seasonally, say, 4-6 weeks).

The expedition runs roughly on a 8-week cycle

It was the trophy display one I was referring to, didn't realise it had no time limit - thought it was gonna be like the candleberry one. Thank you.
