Arc Raiders

It was the trophy display one I was referring to, didn't realise it had no time limit - thought it was gonna be like the candleberry one. Thank you.
My understanding is that the Trophy one will not be reset even if you do a character wipe which makes me think its going to be hard to complete! lol

With regards to matchmaking does anyone know if/how it accounts for your playstyle in solo and duo lobbies?
For example in solo I mainly pve, do quests, loot etc so end up in vastly friendly lobbies. But in duo with my mate with fight most of the time unless people are explicitly friendly to us. Yet my duo slaughtering does not seem to affect my solo queuing lobbies. At least that I can tell much. Are the queues kept separate based on what you do there? or is it my imagination.

This tracks for me too, all my solo raids have been in lovey dovey lobbies since forever. I load up into duos or trios and its a totally different experience. Solo I loot and roam without a care, brandishing a gun only when arc are nearby. Teamed up I hug walls, check cover and expect a PvP assault at the drop of a hat. Makes for a fantastic gaming experience.

Yes, it won't fix the issue with other players mics (unless they toggle it), but it will prevent your mic from stuttering and cutting out.

If you ever hear a friendly and their mic is doing it, if you tell them to turn the setting off it will sort it out.

It's called automatic gain control.

It may also be responsible for lowering some people's voice volume in match (Vs desktop), even when turned off.

Or it's just a general bug/ass-backwards working as intended feature, that arc raiders is able to take control of the mic and lower the volume in game (even with automatic gain toggled off).

Either way, disabling it fixes the stuttering and stops arc raiders messing with mic gain in windows (affecting calls etc).
Just wanted to say thanks for this - turned it off now.

Id love to have a definite info about this.
Ive done everything as a solo carebear pve and its been great but i have no quests left etc so id like to jump into some duo or trio pvp , unsure if it will affect my solo pve endeavours.

It definitely wasn't the case at launch that matchmaking was separated between solos and duos.
In the first month or two after release your squad experience reflected your solo experience and vice versa. Being bloodthirsty in squads meant more PvP in solos.

However, around the start of the year/very end of last year this seemed to change, and going murder hobo in squads didn't impact my mainly pve experience in solos. At least not in the way I had been experiencing prior.

There was a push for this separation from some vocal players online prior to me noticing it happening in game. So perhaps Embark did make a change in response to that. I don't ever recall seeing it as a documented change however, so they could certainly reverse it in the future.

TLDR - I absolutely think there's a separation now since my games reflect that, so I don't think it's your imagination at all.

Try it and see. Returning to the carebear lobbies is relatively painless if you find that your solo lobbies are affected.

Kill them all! For science!

Yep i went on a rampage about half way through my questing for a few days then it took about 5-6 raids of not shooting anyone and running away to get back to carebear mode.

Glad it's not just me experiencing it then :D

First game today...

I need Bombardier cells for the new quests, notice a guy has just killed one so I ask him if he minds if I take a couple of the cells if there is any - he says yeah sure my inventory is full anyway.

I take some cells and as I'm running away I get killed by a Bastion I didn't hear at all somehow. The same guy fights off the Bastion, two Hornets and a Wasp telling me to come to him. He rezzes me. I thank him profusely and drop him an Osprey II as payment in kind. He refuses it, says he's rich and drops me a Snap Hook BP (which I didn't already have) - WHAT A LEGEND.

if things ever turn to crap I really hope humanity unites. against a common foe like that rather than turning on each other.

sadly I am not convinced.

What is required to do a reset?

I keep hearing "5 mill" but I am unable to find if it means 5m currency (Top right of the screen and what you spend at traders) or if its stash value.

My understanding is stash value is what you are stored in your stash not your currency.

Does the reset also wipe your cred, raider tokens and decks?

It's credits, I'm not sure if it factors in the value of the stash, but you lose all that anyway. Keep in mind it was $1m increments last time, up to $5m. Each million got you a skill point and a few extra inventory slots. There's no telling what the requirement will be for the second reset yet, I suspect it might be a bit more or even double.

It doesn't reset any of the other items. You lose stash, skill points reset, quests, benches, and blueprints. There are many requests for raiders to be able to hold on to one blueprint each reset, dunno if that's gained any traction though.

Thank you.

Just watched a YT vid and it says combined stash of currency and stash value so will see what happens when it hits
