Arc Raiders

Well just over 10k on leapers and 14k on rocketeers.

I reckon I can beat the rocketeer score quite easily, leaper score might be more tricky.

Not attempted the others yet.
logged in tonight and no good map states. only night state was buried city and all rocketeers were taken before I could get a shot off.

expensive day today. lost 3 hull crackers, a couple of betinas, multiple pink combat augments and heavy shields. had I not been wiping in a few weeks I would have been gutted.
still only 1 star on killing shredders and nothing for rocketeers or leapers yet. it's finding them that is the problem for me.

I've got a few renegades and Anvils. Actually think I have a renegade buprint. Will give the bigger Arcs a crack. Cheers all :)

Edit - also whats the best method for gaining money? Just selling loot? I have expanded my stash to 235 (I think). need 130k for the next upgrade
I spent ages not daring to engage the bigger arc .. and yet they are not *that* bad. (the bombadiers are hardest - excluding the really big game of course) but leapers and bastions are incredibly easy so long as you have cover. rocketeers you have to be a bit careful of but even then so long as you have cover you are golden.

poppers and shredders are my nemesis...... and of course when caught out with a pair of wasps and a hornet

Theres been leapers and bastions kicking around those old buildings near Olive grove last few runs on Blue Gate I've done. I reckon using those budlings as cover is the way to go.

I'm also really struggling to take out a Hornet with a trigger or snap nade for the quest. End up lobbing them miles behind them, massively frustrating.

I'm stuck on that quest to. Even killed one with a snap made and it didn't register. Unless someone shot it at same time and I didn't notice!

Loaded into Stella with something like 17mins on the clock. Went to try to find Magneton. Met a few friendlies, then a not-friendly, which put a stop to looting. Managed to avoid dying. Killed about 20 rolling ******** of doom. 2 mins left to extract, finally made it to the turbine, and there's a bloody shredder in front of the button. Managed to lure it out, trap it behind a door, and get out. My heart wasn't a fan of that.

That one was a pain, as if I remember, neither a single snap or trigger nade is enough to take one down (although I might have placed the nade on a rotor, rather than the body, which might be enough to take one down).
I think the second time I did that quest after the expedition, I did it from a roof top in Buried City, I put quite a few Anvil shots in the body, dropped into an attic till it was no longer aggro and then got back on the roof and got a snap greande on it from behind as it moved away.

Certainly, it is difficult to do in active combat.

i have only had one stick. Was on water treatment along that long corridor above the dam. Aggroed one through the window, chucked the nade but somehow it didn't kill it. Not even been close since.
I think you just have to wait for a freak set of circumstances. The quest prior to that I had similar difficulty with - killing an arc with a fireball burner. Decided it couldn't be done then was messing about in the domes and a distressed raider came running in on fire being chased by balls and drones. :D . He died and I manged to kill them all except for one of the pops that got itself trapped in the shallow pool thing. Looted the dead arc, found a burner, lobbed it at the pop. job done, easy as that.
This is the type of stuff that truly makes this game so good.

Thought Id offer an opposing view to everyone else.

I’m level 27, played 99% solo. I started playing with a full team but it just ended up in shootouts. That was back before they changed the lobby & matching system though.

I posted this on this thread last week. I’m at a point where I seem to be stuck in a loop. I go out and easily hold my own against the smaller arc just using upgraded ferro and stitcher weapons.
To progress I need to upgrade the rest of my benches to L3, to do this I need rocketeer and bastion parts. I am currently unequipped to take down these enemies. Even if I had the blueprints and mats to craft the weapons - which I don’t :D . I do have a few better weapons in the stash that I’ve found but I stupidly don’t take them out in case I lose them, so leave them behind and not use them anyway. Yes dumb, I know.
So I feel I need a couple of hours with a shepherd to help me over this hurdle.
I absolutely love the game, there hasn’t been a game grabbed me like this since The Division. I am now concentrating on the quests but they are slow going but I do feel I am getting somewhere. Knocked a few over last night but now have to bring back specific items from Stella which is going to be a long grind.
If you are playing in mostly PvE lobbies, don't be afraid to join in other raiders efforts to bring down bigger ARC and contribute whatever you can, Anvil is a great weapon for this, and if you can rustle up a Blaze grenade, even better. You are unlikely to get any grief come looting time, although there is no guarantee you'll walk away with what you need.
The only time you'll possibly annoy someone in a PvE lobby is if they are farming trial points, and if that is the case, they most likely don't care about the loot anyway.

Loading bay in Stella Montis in PvE is a decent place to down a Bastion with other players, there is plenty of cover you can peek out from, and players attacking from multiple directions means you are not that likely to find yourself pinned down. And don't be afraid to ask if anyone has a spare when looting, plenty of friendly raiders out there.

Done a couple of Stella runs now with the trusty il Torro shotgun and not done too badly - took a few shredders down. Also found a deadline blueprint and the other basic homing grenade BP too which I was very happy with! Also now have a second Aphelion BP in my stash - couldn't quite bring myself to sell it - will give that to a mate at some point.

There was a guy just wondering about playing instruments all game haha loved that - offered him the Aphelion BP when I found it initially and he was like "nah don't worry I don't need it just having fun playing instruments".

Up to 53k on the trails, managed just over 20k Shredder damage just now, revived someone that game as well.

Still need to do the husks.

What are you dying to, Arc?
mostly. usually my fault getting caught out in the open. (and I really struggle against shredders) I do much better on my gaming pc however lately almost all of my gaming is on the steamdeck (in handheld mode) at the moment and I find it much harder on that.
(shooting poppers is much harder on steamdeck than on my pc imo and when multiple swarm me is when I am in trouble

Dam electrical storm for Husks. 25 stims and run round the whole map opening all husks, including the small ones that are not easy to see, managed just over 30k last night.

As some have said above, I think the challenge with the trials (leapers / rocketeers), this week, is to find a server where nobody else is farming! I joined hidden bunkers, and blue gate night, several times last night and everyone was attacking nearby rocketeer/leapers..

Will changing servers to one thats "asleep" make it easier?
