Arc Raiders

Trying to fend off the a comet or 2 with a level 1 rattler...oooft. Just trying to gather up as much basic resources as poss to start with.

Been playing this casually with 2 friends. (Only 30 hours since launch most of that spent sorting my storage out and trying to work out what I need to craft certain items - slowly getting used to everything I need to upgrade weapons etc now).

Id like to get into it a bit more this season - One thing that im really struggling with is the skill tree. I really have no idea how effective each skill is and whats worth investing in. Am i being stupid I cant actually see what effect each skill has on your char. Currently have quite a few unused one as Im unsure whats actually strong skills to pick.

ie Loot quicker perk how much quicker 0.1%, 1%, 10%, 100%

No doubt im being an idiot and missing something.

This is a great quick guide for the skill tree. Basics are get your stamina maxed out on mobility then move over to survival and head towards secuirty breach. This is if you're looking for max looting potential.

I keep seeing a lot of videos of this game and seriously thinking of purchasing it. How friendly is it to a solo player?
Am I going to be more frustrated than anything else?

I played it and done all quests available solo, mostly carebear matchmaking but still some pvp too.
Great experience but i dont know if i want to jump in this reset as i cant se myself redoing all the quests again.

Nah its fine, once you get to a certain point the arc becomes fairly easy.

I have more fun in Solo so far. Generally people seem less ratty. As soon as I join doubles or trios, everyone in the lobby is trying to kill you. I don't typically PVP either, 99% PvE. (friends also don't like the PvP, so try to PvE)
