Arc Raiders

It's just typical of this game when you're searching for something it never turns up, as soon as you've found what you need they're everywhere, yes rusted gears and rotary encoders, i'm looking at you.

So when I've been finding them I've been giving them to my mule to look after. But now we have this metaforge i'm wondering if that's really necessary now?

I have enough seeds to buy the Mk3 survivor, but I really want to loot it for myself!

indeed. I won't be resetting again until I have one to save, as well as a Wolfpack. those along with anvil, hullcracker, seeker grenade and the lure grenade are my core loadouts.

It's so funny what different people use. I've not even used the hullcracker yet even though I think I have one, and rarely use seeker grenedes. I probably need to up my explosives chucking skills for the arc.

I remember a while back I tried to follow a youtube vid to kill bastions where you use the wand to try and sneak up behind and plant a deadline and got totally destroyed losing it all :D

I loved the hull cracker the moment i 1st got the blueprint .... for me my surprise discovery was the lure grenade. against ARC it's a total get out of jail free card. I never play without at least one of them in my inventory now .. and yet in my 1st playthrough I never bothered with them and sold them on getting them.

I used a deadline for the 1st time ever last week. stuck it on the back of a grenadier whilst it was distracted attacking someone else. it was a 1 shot kill on the yellow nubbin at the back

I watched a vid of Tfue the other day on YouTube playing Stella and the skill gap between pro players and casuals is insane. I've never watched any esports, but was aware of his name. Due was flying around Stella with a Snap Hook like he was GD Spiderman.

Been quite enjoying some of this guys shorts too. He always declares that he's not friendly, and encourages people to heal up and prep for a fight (fade) so they have have a fair 1v1 (or more). Nice to see a bit of integrity in the PVP arena.

I'm getting a weird issue where when I go to upgrade certain guns it brings me to the upgrade screen of another gun and won't let me upgrade it or see what I need to upgrade it, is there a reason why this might happen? (They're not level IV)

EDIT: I found moving it into a gun slot allows it to work for some reason

It can be great for some trial runs too, I carried it this time while doing Ticks, Pops & Fireballs on Stella, and managed to rack up a decent score on damage ground based ARC at the same time, enough that I did not try to beat that by downing larger ARC. The Ticks etc don't score big on the ground base one, but Shredders do bring in decent points, so Hullcracker to quickly clear Shredders, leaving you clear to use the Anvil for everything else. Turrets are classed as ground based too, and there are often plenty in Seed vault.

I'm still yet to try a heroic Dealine manoeuvre :)
I did manage to crash and burn a couple of Rocketeers today with Hornet drivers, although it's the only time I've had any success doing that.

@Nullzzz

How the hell did you get that many points on harvest plants?

I didn't do very well on the trails this week, only got 57k.

Week before I was 8 places off the top 1000.

I got lucky with that one, I run a route around the outside of Buried city on a night raid, and then nip into Marano Park, and that will net around 20-24k most times.

I had already got around 22k so was not planning on another attempt, but I loaded into Buried night with the intention of just looting & shooting, and happened to spawn near the Galleria (which I usually ignore on harvest runs as it gets picked clean fast) and it was absolutely loaded, so I decided to give it another go. I managed the full loop, even without Adrenaline shots, but did not get to harvest in Marano Park as there was a Rocketeer and a couple of Comets lurking, so could have been about 32k if I had risked that I think.

Don't forget Agave counts too, the difficulty is that while Agave always spawns in the same locations, it does not necessarily allow you to actually harvest it, meaning you sort of have to run rings around each plant looking for the prompt - they are supposed to flash like Mullein does, but I have harvested plants that did not flash till I started harvesting them, so they seem a little bugged.

Just had to defend myself on Stella night raid. Normally do night raids naked, but wanted to get shredder gyros and get the trials score whilst farming. Armed with an anvil and seekers I kept hearing "Dont' shoot" being spammed, guy pulled out a rattler and started unloading, my god I am bad at pvp but this guy didn't land one round in me, 3 shots from the anvil sent him back to Sperranza :D

Now I'm going to be thrown into sweaty lobbies now no doubt.

Raiders,

Celeste's radar is flooding with unknown signatures.

Scouts are already scrambling to assess these new threats, and chatter in the tubes suggests you might have to abandon your usual tactics.

Shredders are escaping containment, novel laser-equipped ARC are sweeping the skies, and hulking, unarmed machines are making controlled landings across the grounds, their hulls likely packed with salvageable resources. It won’t be easy, but with some new shooters in your backpack and a taste for fresh loot, who could refuse?

The Flashpoint Update goes live on March 31st!

ARC Operation: Close Scrutiny

What’s that? Fast descent, controlled landing… a Probe? Too large. Seems to stay put, no clear signs of aggression. Well, not from the object anyway. The ARC patrols accompanying it are unprecedented. Celeste calls it the Assessor. She wants to know what it’s doing, Raiders want whatever it’s holding… two birds, one stone.

ARC Operations are a new type of major map condition, and Close Scrutiny is certainly not for the faint-of-heart. There’s less loot available around the map, but who knows what riches lie within the ARC Assessor? Bring your best gear, and ready up for a fight.

New ARC Threat: Vaporizer

Whatever the Assessor is doing, it must be important. A new flying ARC type has been spotted stalking the areas around the operation. Already earning notoriety among Raiders for its devastating laser attacks and idiosyncratic attack patterns - they call it the Vaporizer.

New Weapons and Items

Tian Wen keeps to herself, but even she has been uniquely isolated in recent weeks. Sounds of welding and cursing from her workshop have been heard late into the night as she attempts to forge new weaponry and gadgets. It’s time to find the Blueprints, and give them a go yourself.

Canto

The Canto is a submachine gun that still gives you a fighting chance against ARC in close quarters combat. Running on medium ammunition, this weapon keeps the machines and opportunistic Raiders at arms length.

Dolabra

The Dolabra gives Raiders a new way to punch through ARC armor plating in close-range. This energy shotgun features a variable focus allowing you to fire off a wide burst or a focused funnel of electricity. Head to the Close Scrutiny ARC Operation for the best chance of finding this Blueprint.

Surge Coil

Better safe than sorry. Sometimes you need peace of mind that nobody is going to sneak up on you while you’re otherwise engaged. The Surge Coil is a deployable device that periodically electrifies its surroundings, shocking anything that drifts into its orbit.

New Project: High Gain Antenna

Rumors, radar pings, recordings… information coming into Speranza continues to trouble Celeste. Raiders have been swapping stories about strange shapes in the sky during the hurricane, but where have they come from, and where are they headed?

Celeste and Shani need to get an eye in the sky. Expect them to reach out for help gathering important resources to build a High Gain Antenna. You’ll be rewarded for your effort, but what they’re tracking is a threat to all of us - time to do your part.

Scrappy: Feeding Boost

The bond to your raiding rooster has been deepened, and you can now increase the types of loot Scrappy collects by feeding him particular items. Out of gratitude, Scrappy will also drop you some more valuable items so long as you continue to feed him.

Spreading Shredders

Someone forgot to close the Stella Montis doors on their way out. Stay sharp on Blue Gate, Buried City, Spaceport, as well as Dam Battlegrounds during map conditions - the floating menace has been spotted all across the Rust Belt.

Crafting improvements

We know that crafting the perfect loadout takes time, when sometimes you really want to be raiding. That’s why we’re introducing some handy improvements to the crafting system, streamlining your time in Speranza. When crafting, Raiders will now be able to fulfill missing materials directly, reducing time jumping between tabs. When materials are missing, Raiders will be presented with a list of available sources, letting you recycle, refine, or purchase in a single window.

Cosmetics

You’ll need some new threads for this new season. Periodically throughout April, we'll drop three new outfits: The Brigade Set pulls the resolve of a Roman centurion into the present day with a stylish bomber jacket, kerchief, and piercing blue irises. The Vanguard Set gets you ready for a riot, be that swarms of Ticks or unwelcome Raiders. The Nascosto Set is for the ghosts; with a ghillie-style hood and shoulder pads, the modus operandi is shoot… then shoot off.

As always, good luck up there, Raiders.

The ARC Raiders Team

I'm most excited about the crafting improvements, there's so much potential to improve that system, I hope they've thought it through thoroughly
