@Gibbo I had my order go through on a zotec at 14:02 and I've just had an email regarding being on a list? Is a first come first serve or was it the fact that I wanted it for Sunday? I've seen people or had an order confirmation for a few minutes later have received theirs today.

Should be first come first served unless some for some technical reason I am unaware of, I'd contact CS on that. As all the Zotac we had have shipped out, but I can say in the first five minutes of going live we sold thousands of cards across the range, way way way beyond any expectations, there was several orders per second trying to come down, even as much as hundreds per second, demand was so high.

@Gibbo

Will OCUK be stocking the EVGA hydro copper when it's released? Or will we see any OCUK techlabs 3080s with pre-installed blocks any time soonish? I'd rather buy a card with a pre-installed block just from a warranty point of view on an expensive new card.

Right now EVGA have shared no shipment details for any cards still, as such still awaiting an update with UK distribution on EVGA shipments.

Our system sets a pre-order date based on a delivery arriving, unfortunately it does not take into account quantity ordered, or quantity sold.

We have now made the decision to kill the ETA system, MSI cards did arrive today as per the website, but the amount was way smaller than the amount ordered, MSI are aware that we have pre-sold several thousand of their cards, so they know to get making the cards to meet the orders.

I don't understand why the website would allow such a volume of orders when you clearly knew stock would not be available.

Why would we not know, NVIDIA and graphics cards manufacturers never stated this would be limited, they just said short supply but supply will come.

Also even if we had set a limit order in place, due to the fact our site slowed down, it would have never removed the ability to buy product in good time so no matter what, we would have still sold too many, but back to what I said this is not a limited product or not that we are aware, so just like any other big launch, thinking back to GTX 970 supply will ramp up and orders will be fulfilled it just takes time and people have to be patient.

This is a bit off tbh - you've taken what, hundreds of 1000s of £ off people that you're sitting on no doubt and we have to wait til November?! My word, what a mess! Sorely tempted to cancel!

We apologise, but seriously do you think we want this mess, we want graphics manufacturers to be delivering these cards in the thousands to us, this is a big launch and there is always some delay with big demand launches, so we just have to hope, pray, cross our fingers that NVIDIA and the graphics card manufacturers have good supply incoming in the later months and will meet the demand.

We absolutely want to ship your orders, we want to ship all the orders and have no shortage, we knew demand was going to be strong as did everyone, but the demand is beyond expectations and the supply at the moment is looking small, so we are hopeful it will considerably improve, but it is really over to the graphics card manufacturers now to deal with our demand and orders, they and NVIDIA are fully aware of the numbers sold and we offer the ability to easily cancel the order if the customer wishes.

Hi there

For those asking about 3090 the stock situation shall be no better as such I’d not get your hopes up on getting one on launch, those who do shall be very lucky.

it’s fair to say volumes this month shall be very small to small for both 3080 and 3090.

You going to give the forum a heads up of which are in stock again and they will all be on preorder like the 3080s were? Thanks

Yea all ok pre order and to be honest the ones in stock are single digits so pre order is best option as prevents anyone ordering something showing in stock but the website not updating in time and turning out they missed out. Whereas pre order is assume no stock but then get pleasant surprise of a shipping notification and they will be lucky people as suspect there will be 100’s If not 1000’s of people attempting to order in first few minute.

Were implementing more precautions and locking down our site more to try and ensure things run a bit better but with these levels of demand it’s hard work as even some of the more advanced sites still went down.

I appreciate the communication on all of this.

On a slightly off-topic note, will everyone who gets a 3080/3090 over the next few weeks still get the Watch Dogs code? I've noticed they're no longer listed on some people's orders but the offer is still on the main site. I know you guys hit your allocation from nvidia, but is it okay to assume as you get more, they'll go out as orders go out or what?

We got 1k codes and we ain’t shipped 1k graphics yet and as MVIDIA expiry I believe is October I think the redemption date shall expire before we have shipped 1000 cards anyway but I’d like to be wrong on that.

I will ask NVIDIA about more codes again also as awaiting response but I don’t see large volumes of stock coming before the redemption period runs out. :(

It looks like after Boris's announcement this evening which will further damage the already fragile economy the pound will slide even further, and if the rumoured negative interest rates are also imposed, then further again.

I'm told that once orders with OC are paid then there is no more to pay if the price increases, I do hope this holds good because it might be a rocky road ahead.

We honour all orders even if we loose money on them.
The same happened when brexit came around first time, NV did a launch we pre-sold 100's or around a 1000 cards we were at around 10% margin. Then Brexit hit hard, the pound crashed hard and stock landed and was paid for and we went from making money to making nothing or losing a little, but all orders were honoured irrelevant as we take payment which guarantees the position along with price paid and also means you have no issues at customer end as there is no payment to clear as it was already done at point of ordering.

Does this look silver with white fans?

ORDER NOW

@Gibbo Hi Gibbo, just wanted to ask, I have placed an order for the 3080 using the Hitachi BNPL option. I haven’t had an email confirming and the order status is saying new order, awaiting payment status. Does this mean you are just waiting for Hitachi to pay you before confirming order?

You best contact CS I remember over hearing a staff member saying because so many people selected finance that the finance company thought their was a security issue due to volume of finance request in a 24hr period so best to contact CS for an update on that please.

Is it worth ordering the newly added cards, or is there tonne of orders already. Im stuck on an evga order

Not huge amounts right now, about 20-30 on each line but also no due dates on any of them.
Those asking about EVGA so far UK distribution has heard nothing on shipments.

@Gibbo reference the update about sales only for UK and Ireland. Does this mean you have refunded all sales that were made outside of the UK? and how has that affected numbers etc?

Yes I believe most overseas, USA orders have cancelled, that means for some their queue position will no doubt lower, IT team are still working on an official queue system as discussed.

KFA2 had their first batch, which all went to Asia market, they expect a second batch in 1-2 weeks which they expect to include some for us, no discussion on quantity yet but hopefully they will let us know later next week and if they have some for us they tend to take 1-2 weeks to ship, arrive and be booked in.

@Gibbo customer services apparently mentioned 300 incoming MSI Cards, any news on that or were they mistaken?

They were absolutely mistaken, MSI do not have 300 for whole of UK I suspect let alone a single reseller, deliveries are generally 10-50 units at a time.

Any further updates shall be posted in the sticky thread.

WOWWWWW OCUK very disappointing to hear your canceling USA orders! that is unfair, first you take our money with little to no GPUs in stock and make us wait this long to cancel!

Sorry maybe my post was poorly worded.

Only USA orders cancelled are those that have requested, any USA/European orders placed at 3080 launch are still valid, so no need to worry if your waiting.

We are now though moving forward limiting future orders to UK/Ireland ONLY, as when NVIDIA and a board partner allocates us stock we only get UK allocation and we are not winning additional allocation because we ship globally unfortunately and hence we want to prioritise our local (UK/Ireland) customers whilst the product is in severe constraint.
