Arctic Cooler mod

whats up with 3d mark '03?
i start it at 650/1700, then about 10 secs into the first test it pauses for about 5 seconds. doesn't pause again throughout the whole benchmark, just in that place. my result is also lower because of it :o
any ideas why?

ac coolers are pretty light, ive had 1 on the northbridge for a trail run for a bit, certainly bloody cools, lawrywild had a full skt a cooler on his 6800le
 
well i discovered why 3d mark '03 & '05 were pausing, the pencil had rubbed off :o
so now im at 670/1740 - still artifact free. will run 3d mark '05 in abit

throttling. use rivatuner to log the clock speeds. i bet you that at the pause the clocks throttled down like they did on my card. not sure how it is on your card but on mine i had to set the low power 3d clock speed in rivatuner to be the same as my high power clock speeds.
 
rivatuner hasnt been updated to support the 7600GT yet :(
i cured it anyway, the pencil mod had rubbed off :p

that is one of the good things i like about this card, the volt modding is so easy! and if it doesn't like it just rub it off :)
