Arctic Monkeys 2006 gigs, pre-general sale tickets

Gotta bear in mind that they're pretty much still kids and all this is very, very new to them!

I saw them last July i think it was at the Leadmill in sheff, to be honest, for their age they were pretty awe inspiring. It wasn't unusual to see them in the Leadmill having a few alco pops either.

I'm not sure they're arrogant, probably more nervous.

Yer and last July they weren't as mainstream / big as they are now ;)

I dunno just the impression they gave off. Hopefully I'm wrong and Blackpool will be a treat

Oh and Maximo's keyboard player is a ****ing mentalist! :p

Didn't get tickets here either, after trying on pre-release and on the day as well. I'm over it though, seeing Kaisers in April which will be just as good for me personally :)

seeing them at the weekend on the nme tour, un decided on who i'm looking more forward too though, maximo and arctics are my tied second bestest bands at the mo :D
tried to get tickets for this, but in all honesty it was a waste of time : [
leeds i guess = )
ooo i'm seeing bloc party in march in leeds, my bestest band ever =D sooo excited

Snap! (Except I got tickets for this :p) Going Saturday 29th April, not really fussed but should be a good day (as long as the weather's good!). Saw Embrace at the Millenium Square and it was great :)

jakeke - Where you seeing Bloc Party?

Edit - I'm an idiot :o

ahh, my bad ;o
leeds cockpit - march 6th

it's a fans only gig, you needed to be signed upto marshalls to have got a ticket, but i believe they're all sold out now : [

sure ebay can accomodate you (annoyingly) if you want to go!

they're playing new material in advance to their album so i'm really excited to hear it, as good as silent alarm was : [

Ah I see, I wouldn't have been able to make it on a Monday anyway :(

*Hates living in a ****y little town!* :p

Lets us know what the new material's like :)

well!
maximo park > we are scientists > arctic monkeys > mystery jets at that gig

artics just didn't seem interested at all .. paul smith from maximo was INCREDIBLE, travelled all the way from sheffield, good job WAS and maximo were that good !

Hasn't been announced yet but the support act for the april album tour is Reverend and the makers.

You can check out some tunes from here www.iamreverend.com

My pick of the bunch would be bandits. The other three are no way near his best songs, but they will be released at a later date. If anyone is wondering who reverend is, he is a mate of the arctic monkeys. (rev's brother is also on the album cover of arctic monkeys).

Not sure if there will be a second support act, but expect some pretty unique stuff from the makers, a trombone solo in the middle of a song is always a good thing.

And i'm not sure if there will be a second support act, it's possible.

Bet the supports are more entertaining than the arctics tbh :p

Really am contemplating selling the tickets as they were just **** at the Awards Tour. It just seemed as if someone had put their album on in a club
