Are cheap SSDs any good or is there a catch?

went with a Samsung 1tb 860EVO, in the end, to replace my main drive in the laptop.

Already can see a major difference with AutoCAD not hanging when working on large files, autosave could cause hanging and crashes before.

Iam hoping that the SSD will also help with my point cloud processing times as well ??
