Are EA allowed to do this

my burnout paradise I bought on steam no longer works online add after too many emails back and forth I have given up and will think twice about buying from ea again!

Just think once, and have the answer be "no".

I know if I run out of activations for my EA games on steam, and steam cant get me new games, I wont be installing origin to play the games again. I will be adding EA to Ubisoft as the list of publishers I don't buy from anymore.

What is pogo?

Pogo being the free online games site? with the additional club you can join for a fiver a month to play some more games... where do I sign up? :p

Fantastic if you're wanting to play the game there and then.
Really is just pickup and play.

I can understand the frustration if you want to play the game there and then but the point I was trying to make is that I've not had an issue with getting a game re-activated (yet....)

It's definitely a major pain in the **** though and funnily enough it's always EA games that cause the problem :(

I thought your contract of sale was between YOU and STEAM/VALVE. Therefore its up to STEAM/VALVE to resolve, Sales of Goods Act 1979.

It's nout to do with Steam, they've provided you with the game files and the licence to play the game. it just so happens that the licence is extremely douchy and has these constraints. Valve have completely met the contract with the customer. You buy the licence, not the game.

If you waved the sales of goods act, they'd laugh at you.
