Are England unmanageable?

Hodgson is a total wet lettuce! Just like mclaren, boring and uninspiring!! the team needs raw English passion who can inspire the players to build as a family.

Capello couldnt do it as how can a half speaking English Italian inspire a team, other than recomending Italian food while out for dinner

The man for the job should have been Harry!!

lol.

Well the appointment of Hodgson is no good. Only for the fact that players, managers, press and every other Joe had been building up for Harry. So that already put a downer on the position (although I don't think Harry is that good of a manager).
And with everything about the England team, the first game they lose the media will be all over them and people will be too busy groining to really get behind them. It'll be a downhill slide til yet another manager sacked.

I'm not sure the English media are that different to the media anywhere else.

They are.

They are the single most hateful, spiteful and intrusive bunch of ***** on the planet.

The england job is really an irrelevance, why the english press feel the need to personally attack a man who hasnt even had chance to pick a side yet, I have no idea.

Its a game, and these ********* make out it like it actually matters, chest beating, flag waving stick it up the germans........

******s.

Roy Hodgson is not going to cure cancer if he does anything with England, by the same token, nothing at all that matters is going to happen if gets knocked out the tournament losing all the group games 200-0.

Why they feel the need to go after him is beyond me.

Indeed.

It's interesting reading foreign media, they all focus on the football :) not the players or character assassinations of Managers.

Well, except Italy, every one and everything football related in Italy is bat **** crazy.

Italians are so passionate about their football they do go crazy with it. Like the Genoa - Siena match.

All I know is, in every major tournament I've seen England in over the past couple of decades, the players look way too nervous and consequently under-perform badly. How many times have we seen individuals have brilliant seasons with their clubs only to turn up with lead boots come World Cup / Euros? It isn't just tiredness after a long season.

The tabloids need burning down, and the public needs to just enjoy the tournaments instead of acting like it's the be-all and end-all. The insane English combo of negativity mixed with inflated expectations just kills them, IMO. Instead of "yay - another World Cup!" it always becomes "Oh **** - what's going to go wrong this time..." :(

Doesn't help that the big hype players just under-perform as well. Whether it's the media or not, it's hard to tell but they just need to pull their finger out for once.
The Spanish team for example are like a family together...although in fairness it is just the Barcelona team.
