Are Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3 similar?

LOL,

comparing Fallout Series buggy mess to Witcher Series.... Dont let me stop you buying Mods From Bethesda that should have been in the game while your at it. ;)

I've never bought mods from Bethesda, and the game runs fine for me.

What mods do you use?

Nothing special, just the usual stuff. Most of it is purely aesthetic.

Some people go overboard with 100+ mods. I've never seen the need for that.

i didn't say you did. i implied their outlandish business practices that a massive fanboy like yourself might subject to. all bethesda games are a buggy mess, the community fix their mistakes with mods.

Bethesda needs to die as a company

LOL, I'm not a massive fanboy. I'm just someone who enjoys Fallout IV. And yeah, Bethesda is notorious for releasing games far too early, riddled with bugs that the community has to repair.

It's common knowledge that the #1 rule when playing a Bethesda game is 'Save early, save often, and when in doubt, save again.' :p

Bethesda needs to die as a company

But then we wouldn't have Prey.

Too harsh, but they really could use a different management board and business practices.

It is paradoxical, on one hand I hate lot of their business practices and their unwillingness to create better written/designed Fallout games, but on the other I love the singleplayer games they publish - Prey, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, Evil Within..

we would not be without prey - prey is developed by Arkane Studios, just need to find a new publisher.

Doom series, Elder Scrolls series, Fallout series, Dishonoured series, Prey... the list just goes on and on. We wouldn't have any of these games if Bethesda had died.

50% of that list are developed and created by other development studios, Publishers are easy to find if the games good

Possibly, but still, at least Bethesda greenlit and funded these games. Of course, now with Prey and Dishonored having low sales, who knows if they will greenlight future games like that.

I feel left out, own both and don't like either of them (well I do like playing Gwent in W3..). I was a massive FO3 fan, no idea why FO4 doesnt' click with me at all.

W3 it's all down to the combat system, just not a fan of it.

I think Witcher 3 should be the yard stick that all RPG's should be measured by from now on. Fallout 3 I loved Fallout 4 just didn't engage me as much as 3 did.

Imagine someone took

Imagine someone took Fallout IV, removed everything that made it such an incredibly good game (including the option to customise your character, choose your own gender, and switch between first & third person), changed the setting to some kind of weird, witchy medieval magical era where everyone is Polish, implemented one of the worst game UIs ever created, gave you a control system that looks like someone forgot to finish it, dumbed down the gameplay to console peasant levels, screwed up the camera, introduced some kind of weird lock-on system that rarely works, and then kicked you hard in the balls.

That's The Witcher III.
