Are Jeans becoming unfashionable?

Hi guys.

Last weekend I went for a meal for my Dad's 70th birthday. There were about 20 of us, half being men roughly.

All the guys over 60 had Jeans on, all the people under 60 had other trousers like Chinos or cords etc on instead.

Are Jeans becoming unfashionable for none pension age people now, and more something that "old" people wear.

Anyone under 30 has pube perms on the top of their head so you cannot take what they think seriously.

When I was at school one kid came in with a perm and got bullied and sent home for a haircut.

I had a 16 year old kid come and buy my old car and he had a mullet.

Worlds gone mad.

I feel so self consciously scruffy in joggers. My wife's family all change into "house trousers" within seconds of getting in from outside and I just can't get with it. I'm forever being moaned at for wearing the same jeans indoors as I wore outside.
I bought a pair of joggers last week for £110, they are certainly not "scruffy"

So many questions...
Why would you spend more than £20 on joggers?
Where can you even buy joggers for £100?
Can joggers ever not look scruffy regardless of price?
What's special about £100 joggers?

Unless you're Fred Durst and confused over whether it is 1998 or 2024, no.

Just say no.

Juicy couture?

The joggers were Armani :-) Total overkill, but screw it, only live once, right?
Sorry, they were £105 not £110

They are also white.

the thing is for me, is I have worked hard to lose weight, gone from 2XL down to Large in joggers, and part of the feeling is looking "good" It's more about when I was so much more overweight I was limited on brands and what I could buy, so now I fit in these designer brands, it's about doing it because I can.

I was going to laugh at the chav joggers, but, good for you on the self improvement, glad it makes you feel better.

Cargos from here are decent. Well made and inexpensive for the most part. Slim fit offerings too so you don't look like a wannabe rapper.

I dont really like "denim" or "grey" jeans, i never have really

I much prefer the stretchy type sort of not denim jeans these days, and in dark colour, usually black.

They are still classed as jeans if you walk in to next, but they are not the thick denim type, those types of jeans irritate me these days.

I dont really know what type of matirial the ones i like are, but they are much more comfortable, and stretchy, they dont irritate me as much

I will still laugh at you for paying that for those joggers, but applaud your effort at cutting down the size - I know you’ve been putting in the grind for a while now :)

I absolutely hate leaving the house in joggers. Like you i just feel scruffy in them regardless of how they might look and don't understand the belief they look "good". Comfy yes but certainly not good when making an "effort" to go out. Full matching tracksuits is next level!

In the house is another matter though and i find them warm and comfy for lounging around.
