Are Men the new Women ???

Costs a fiver to have my hair cut every 2 months or so and thasts pretty much it. Apart from anti perspirant I don't buy anything else as I see it as a complete waste of money. A bar of natural soap is my friend, plus I have skin allergies so I couldn't use it even if I wanted to.

A friend of mine was moaning the other day about how dry his skin was getting on his hands, I said "Stop moaning your girl"

Like the original poster, I reckon we are turning the men folk of the country into a bunch of nancy boys.

Hair cut = £0
Expensive grooming products = £0
Being a proper man = £Priceless

Oh, I don't like dry skin (especially because I suufer from eczema) so I moisturise but not with any stupidly priced crap.

Liquid parafin/White soft parafin 50/50 - total cost = jack all it's on my NHS prescription.

Metrosexual = Gay. :D

Personally I dont think there is anything wrong with men taking care of their appearance by spending money on beauty products. I make an effort to look my best for my boyfriend and would like to feel he did the same for me. He suffers from dry skin and i'm always recommending he uses baby oil after showering :D

I do think it's quite incredible how this market has exploded

I will never pay more than £10 for a haircut and that's too much IMHO

I only have a hair cut every 6-8 weeks - I try to avoid it

I only shave once a week too

Apart from that I just use deodorant as everyone else. I have far better things to spend my money on TBQH

I do feel a tad ashamed tbh as I have a large selection of designer aftershaves.

Is that included :D

The last three years of my life:

Haircuts: £0
Skincare products: £0
Deodorants: £0 (The mass of deodorant I get given on christmas and birthdays is sufficient for my needs)

Oh yes, I'm a REAL man.

However, the reason I haven't spent any money on haircuts is not because I've got my own clippers which I use to give my head the once over every so often, it's because I literally haven't had a haircut in the last three years.

Which end of the scale does that put me on? :o

Haven't paid for a haircut for about 2 years now, haven't had my hair cut for a year but before that my ex used to do it for free, as she was a trainee hairdresser. Have some moisturiser that i use when i need, which isn't particularly often, so a 5 quid tub has lasted me a very, very long time :)

Can't say that any bloke who moisturises is any less a man, just one who wants to look after himself, and aslong as you don't use it too muc then it's good for you, but like makeup if you use it too much it does a large amount of damage to yor skin as it blocks the pores.

Oh and if you must moisturise then please invest in something like a tub of Aqueous or E45 and not any overpriced rubbish like Olay or Nivia.

£5 a tub I think...

Aqueous is awesome!
E45 burnt my face :( I was proper allergic to it...
I have some face moisturiser and hand moisturiser that is quite nice...

My hair costs me about £60 by the way :P
Plus fibre putty/fudge + a temp colour + shampoo and conditioner :)

I don't see why people are bothered that others moisturise ? My face cracks in the cold if I don't. So I'd rather not be in pain and moisturise :)

Se....se.....seventy pounds!

Yep :/

That's with a colour as well though !

I get my hair coloured every 5 weeks and my hair cut ( apart from my front bits ) every 10 weeks

The colour on it's own costs about £45 and then the colour & cut is about £70

I'm very very very fussy about who cuts/colours my hair as I have had 2 bad experiences so when I find someone I trust I stick with them no matter how much it costs :)
