Shocking, these are the best brands and your luck is rotten. I ended up going with the Sabrant drive, I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I have the same F1 still working away nicely since new (not in RAID), never had any issues with it whatsoever....great drives (hope I haven't put a curse on it lol)

They don't make them like they used to that is for sure. Many drives have come and gone over the years but the F1 stands strong. I might pull it out of the raid later just so I can share it's smart data!

I had a 1TB Spinpoint F1 that I bought in 2010, which recently failed. Can't complain as it did well for nearly 10 years.

Oldest drive I still use to store some stuff on is a WD 5000AAKS from 2007.
