Are OcUK one of the best quality forums?

i do sometimes find that some dons/underbosses can be hypocritical and a slight hint of power abuse slips through, if someone disagrees with them or angers them in relation to their opinion.

Thats not true and it makes me very very angry that you said it

:p

It was slightly before that, and I'm willing to bet your reasoning is incorrect.

Although as always, suspensions aren't discussed in public, regardless of who it is.

Is that when he stopped being a Don briefly recently? I'd be interested to know why that was, although I have an idea.
He refused when it was his turn in the barrel?

TBH cleanblue, you are on my ignore list so I can't see all of your post. However, going by your title which I can read then I would have to say NO! Don't get me wrong. I think OcUK are a great forum to be a part of but I have come across forums which are sooooo laid back that it's unreal ;) The attitude of some members here can take a lot of getting used to but this forum does have a certain addiction to it that I find myself coming back time and time again. That may be a bad thing but I'm still here so what the hell :D :D

Yes they are one of the best forums.
I do think the moderation is heavy handed at times but then it's a public forum and allsorts drop in. Someone has to keep it clean and spam free and as it's done for free i am certainly Not moaning.
Having said that my dealings with the hammer have been painless. Quite the reverse to be honest as it started correspondence with Don's that continues now.
I like the broad range of opinion we have here and i also like the Loyality between known members. At first this did feel clicky but i haven't been to a meet and soon felt at home here.
I drop in daily and appreciate the bench mark it gives me on the world.
Or summit like that. :p

This is the most heavily moderated forum I've been a member of, but then again this place is also the neatest and most orderly forum I've been a member of, as well as the most helpful, and entertaining. There are certain cliques that manifest themselves in various ways which annoy me a little, but I suppose that's inevitable, and I probably wouldn't have mentioned it if I was in any of those particular cliques, not that I want to be. But like I said, it's inevitable. And of course those who use these forums/the internet to seem superior to others in whatever way, that's a bit silly really, there's no need for that. I just admire the fact that there is always someone around to help or discuss things with about anything, whether it be general chat or computer related.
what other good forums do you know

I have an idea too, hence my earlier remark about his account being perfect, and squeaky clean.

And as for all the people who are launching further personal attacks aginst me for expressing an opinion. Go ahead, i hope you get the same kind of "vigilance" and rule interpretation that I, and many many others have recieved.

Nobody has attacked you Nana. I'd have deleted it myself had I saw any.

And I'm also willing to bet your reasons aren't correct either. But we'll never know I guess.

If you backed up your seemingly pointless crusades with decent, constructive answers and counter-arguments Nana, I really wouldn't have a problem and would quite welcome a good debate.

I stand by what I have said to date.

I am really not sure whether you do it as a reflection of who you are or whether you do it to stoke the flames. I really can't decide.

Can't be bothered to read the thread so sorry if all of these have already been said:

It is pretty good on the whole but it can feel a little bit clique-ish. But which forum featuring a significant number of members with 10K posts doesn't? I also get irritated by all the "OMG! I just spoke to a girl!" and "OMG! I just drank alcohol!" type posts (oh and all the gay bashing :D ) but all the other topics are mostly quite interesting

Spot on Von. Nana may well have some valid points. But it's hard trying to see it through the bitterness.

Pound for Pound for Discussion on General Subjects (sport/motors/xbox 360) its great, its limted on other area for certain reasons, but this is the Internet and if you need extra info, use the Internet.

Nana just enjoys sailing close to the wind. He normally starts off with a good point but just can't help but inject that little snipe at the end to cause eyebrows to be raised and knuckles to be flexed in preparation for some keyboard action.

Reading your posts Nana, I'm somewhat reminded of talking to the hippies who stop people on their lunch break in town. They start off with well constructed points and good arguments, if caught on the back foot they resort to screaming about how McDonalds were responsible for the holocaust, the Great Plague, the Ice Age and poll tax.

The only forum I use where most posters are more mature and sensible is this one, although I feel that is more due to the topic than anything.
