Are radio presenters this stupid?

I like Moyles, he had a bad patch last year but he's been excellent for the last 9 months or so. He cares about the technical side of radio; levels, timings etc, he knows that part of his job inside out. His salary reflects his knowledge and talent.

I listened last week, and they practically had a 5 minute conversation about the level of Dave’s head phones.

It’s the worst radio station ever, but I can't get Virgin in the car so I listen to Classic FM as they don't dumb down the news either.

I think Moyles plays up to the the people thinking he's arrogant. I find him funny because I can't take anything he says seriously, except when he rips it out of famous people.

iPod = :(
Stereo = Locked out

I'd settle for Trent FM at the minute!!!

the iTrip, wonderful invention, though fatian, you'll never actually play anything on it because you won't be able to make up your mind on what you want to listen to :p

Agreed, the news is awful on R1. It's not even news, it's like a celebrity bulletin.

Zane Lowe is also superb, I'm only actually like a few of the tunes he'll play but I always enjoy his show.

Shame in real life he's a ****, I had to take load of tapes over to MTV once so both hands were full, the ***** saw me about to walk through the door behind him but he didn't hold it open for me, so I booted it hoping it might catch him in the back but I missed :(

Then on my way out of the building I saw him watching his show on MTV and laughing at his own jokes :mad:

As for the Chris Moyles thing, I like him and the show he's talking about is free as in you don't have to pay to get in, the licence fee thing is just a technicality.

Never listen to him. All radio1 presenters do my head in with the diatribe they spout.

Radio4 Today Progamme on the way to work
Radio4 PM on the way home

Radio2 if I have to drive anywhere during the day.

Chris Moyles even said this morning, "I'm thick and I'm rich" or something like that when someone called him thick. I dont think he cares, but hes funny anyway :D

P.S. Zane Lowe rawks!! :p

Was just listening to Radio1 and chris moyles is pimping this concert or something they are doing for "free".

One listener quite rightly e-mails and says that its not free as we pay the licence fee and then goes on about how little the radio 1 service recieves to run their services from the licence fee and that why don't they go to sky and not pay the licence fee.

is it me or are these 3 clowns on the show excessivley stupid?

Your lack of punctuation made your middle "paragraph" nigh on incomprehensible. Ironic that you're complaining about people's stupidity, no?

That being said, I agree in part with the premise, but it's all basic "no such thing as a free lunch" stuff.

Saw Moyles in a club in Bournemouth last summer, he was strutting about the "VIP" area with his arms in the air, acknowledging his "fans", carring a bottle of champagne with a straw in the top.

Complete and utter James Blunt

Fair point, but if i got paid so much for just talking rubbish in the morning for 5 days a week, i might also act slightly 'overhappy'.

I do that when I'm on the karaoke, he was just drunk and enjoying himself.

True, but if I got paid "so much" as he is, I would get a Personal Trainer, a Gym Pass, a Razor Blade, some soap, and stop looking like Phil Jupitus.

JK & Joel??? OMG! I have never heard too people who quite clearly share the same gene pool as the rest of their village.

These two are the epitamy of mind numbing "local DJ" mentality.

Chris Moyles makes me laugh though, so maybe it is me, also Scott Mills is a tit who should have been drowned at birth :)

I'm really surprised at the amount of people who don't like him and his show. Personally I think he is hilarious, and love listening to his show on a morning. Makes my occasion journeys over into Manchester fly by :)
