Are the 360,s really that bad, Breaking, resetting

It didn't put me off. I figure it's got a year's warranty so at least it won't cost me extra if it fails in that time.
I'm just going to hope I'm one of the lucky ones

both me and my m8 has a original release version 1 of the 360 and they work like a charm.

but a friend with a new one has had it die.

they are genarally very reliable as all the people on my friends list which is 40 peeps only one has had his fail

On my 4th 360.

1st one red lighted after 7 months.
2nd one would crash after 10 minutes.
3rd one had general graphics problems and red lighted after 2 months.

By boyfriends xbox has crashed a few times and recently the controllers have been switching themselves off even though they have brand new batteries etc. It is almost a year old and had no problems before this though.

Mine hadn't had any problems for 10 and a half months of ownership until last week but it was replaced by ASDA.

A software update killed mine so it might not ALL be hardware related.

i work at gamstation and yes they really are that bad
for every five we sell ,we get two back.
but having said that i got mine on launch and its going fine

Mine was pulled off a desk onto the floor and still works perfectly this day (whilst running Halo 2 thank god not a 360 game) the disk got mangled. - so I can safely say some are very well built. Others like one of my mates hasn't touched his and hes needed to have it replaced twice (3 red lights)
