Don't understand stand why corsair has released new high end psu's as a refresh and not a update as the 4000 series is due to come out soon.

If these brought idle usage down to like 10-20w (without hdd, fans), would pay for itself, although I expect they dont. That’s a lot of money for a psu.
Imma wait for it to become waaaay cheaper before I even consider it.

I was thinking of the 12v only PSUs that also need a motherboard to match this still has all the ranges I think. My mistake sorry, but when the 12v only one's come out they claim to have low/idle usage power savings. So far, they don't appear to be much better, but afaik the very low load specs didn't really change.
100% sure they will eventually come to OC but I agree with you, probably not immediately.I doubt these will be here for sale though, unless someone like Corsair chucks a label on one.

absolutely fine for everybody.
So you're saying that £250 is affordable for a PSU for most people?
I would argue otherwise but hey.Yes. Most people was able to afforded £439 for a Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU weeks ago that was almost twice of £250.
