are tomatoes an essential part of a fry up?

and toast with low fat spreads?! ha! you need to not allow your missus in the kitchen again when it comes to a 'fry' up, iv-tecman

Gets worse. Haven’t had chips when I stop with the missus for, well can’t remember. If I get fish, its none battered fresh or that frozen fish without batter and a side salad.

I get chicken and rice and the chicken is cooked in a wok without any oil, she’ll use the oils from the veggies she cooks first in the same wok, as the veggies produce an oil she’ll use to cook the chicken and then serve the cooked red /green peppers, with onion and mushroom with diced chicken with rice, ok its maybe better then chicken and chips with a side of good old bread and butter…

But really don’t need to lose weight, I need to gain it. I don’t like to hurt her feelings though, so I eat it, and normally nip off out and get a pizza if its leaving me hungry..!! lol

Anyhow off topic..

Urgh can't stand tomatoes.

Potato bread
Soda bread
Pancake
Bacon
Sausage
Egg
Black pudding
Mushrooms
Beans
Toast
Fresh coffee

Om-nom-nom

I wouldn't say the Tomato features very highly on my list in terms of what I'd eat first but I think I might miss it if it were not there... Hmmm

A lot of fussy eaters on here.

4 bits of good thick back bacon, 4 good sausage, 4 bits of black pudding, 2 lambs kidneys, 3 eggs, half a tin of beans, a tomato cut in half a fried (with a bit of sugar sprinkled on it), 3 hash browns, half a tin of fried potatos, fried mushrooms, fried bread, toast. Bread and butter to mop up after.
Tea/ Coffee and fresh OJ. Bit of salt, pepper and ketchup.

No grilling or microwaving, all fried.

Do it properly if you're going to do it at all, I usually eat something similar on a saturday, best thing in the world, sets you right up for the day.

It's very rare I actually ever have a cooked breakfast but ideally it should have

Tattie scone
Bacon
Sausage
Egg
Fruit pudding or Black pudding (couldn't manage both)
Mushrooms
Toast
Tea

Note the lack of tomatoes, lovely thought they are they don't belong in a cooked breakfast.

Change pancake for hash brown or other potato product and you have the ultimate breakfast.

I forgot the vegtable roll.

And a fried pancake to soak up the last of the fat is delicious. I don't mind fired potatos in my fry tho.

Absolutely essential - it fools your brain into thinking there is something healthy on the plate :)
