I'm not talking about the guy who got caugh with the local bike, but are you fond of your motor?

I know some people already have their ideal car (Fox) and other only have a car to get from A to B so they don't really care what they are driving as long as it gets them there dry.

It's a kind of open ended question as it only occured to me this evening when the wife offered to buy me a vitara for xmas as she know i miss getting out to play in the mud. BUT i'd have to sell my SJ as we're running out of space for cars.

She just couldn't understand that i'd rather keep my SJ (even though i can't drive it right now) than flog it and get a different motor.

Anybody else have a connection to their chosen car? (or have i been hammering the codine too much this week? :p)

I like my car a lot. Not for what it is, but the freedom it gives me, since my house has pretty bad public transport.

To be honest, I hate the massive lack of power, and tendency to take ages to demist the front window, but it's great for a first car, and I wouldn't prefer any other similar cars over it.

No, couldnt care less, if it got stolen i'd buy another better one tomorrow.

I LIKE my car(s) but im only attached to them in the sense that it would be an inconvinience for it to go missing all of a sudden.

i agree with this

I like my car, but I wouldn’t say I was attached to it. As soon as I get a car I’m always thinking about what I will get next.

My gf thinks that I like it more than I do her though. :p

The car I have now is the only car ive ever really been attached too.

It cost me so little to buy, costs nothing but the most basic of servicing and maintenance, and its got me to le mans and back twice, towed my caravan all over, and its taking me on a few more eurotrips next year, all for so little.

I cant see me getting rid of it for the forseeable future. Its suprisingly quicker than most people would think too!

im attached to mine i think, why else would i have just spent 10 hours fitting new suspension today... i love cars, such a money pit, but i love them. simple really.

volees rock :D

i dont know....some days i'd be gutted if anything happened to it, some days when things arent going right i wish something would! :p

Nah, i've put a LOT of time and effort into this car getting it how i want. it does have a fair bit of value to me now.

I'd hate to have a car I couldn't go for a pointless drive in, just to make me smile:D

I love my car, it's going to take something special to replace it. Though it would be nice to nip to Tesco without worrying about some numpty bumping into it in the car park.

I am rather attached to Maggie my beemer ... since I've bought her we have done 9K miles in 3 months which is equal to more time then I've spent with any of my female friends. She keeps me warm when it is cold and has a habit of shaking her rear if I smack it a little hard on a corner.

Unhealthy attachment ... maybe

yeah i like my car a lot, would be quite miffed were something to happen to it because of its rarity I couldn't just go out and buy another one at short notice. Almost constantly wish I had a cyborg when driving it though :p.

I have been attached to some of my previous cars and am probably attached to the MX5. The Honda although I appreciate as a superb quality piece of ageing kit I see more as a tool and if it were stolen I would be quite happy to buy something else. If it were vandalised however, I would be mortified.
