Are you fat?

im on the wrong side of 30 BMI.

dont want to sound like an excuse but a nurse at work (their for a health check) told me BMI is only useful for people who have never weight trained as muscle is heavier than fat.

i do believe i am fat though lol just not worthy of the over 30 BMI i get :( maybe 26-28.

EDIT she also done a body fat check and i was between 20 and 30% think it was something like 27 cant rember though it was about 2-3 years ago now

Used to be, at the age of 19 or 20 at my heaviest I was just over 17 stone, at 6 foot 5 I didn't really look fat but I felt it, BMI was 28.5 apparently. I'm now 13 stone & fit with a BMI of 21.9 and look & feel much better. I also have some relatively decent muscle now, at my 17 stone I didn't have a single pound of muscle on my body.

20.5. It's a pointless test though is it not.

It's got a few obvious flaws, particularly with professional athletes, serious bodybuilders etc... For the majority of people it does provide a reasonable measure. Being a computer enthusiast forum lots of people on OCUK have a high BMI because they're serious athletes/bodybuilders and BMI is obviously flawed for them.

23.7 BMI here

I'm currently around 3.5 watts per kilo on the bike, so not fat and good riding fitness.

I am rather athletic if you know what I mean... ;)
