Yeah, im massively looking forward to the Olympics.

It gives me the chance to watch the biggest single sporting event on the planet from the comfort of my own home for the best part of 3 weeks.

Its unlikely that in my lifetime this capital city of ours will host such an event again, yes i think it will be a little bit of a farce compared to Australia and china's efforts but im sure it will be fine.
 
Looking forward to the Cycling, Time Trial and the Triathlon where we have a good chance to picking up some medals. The former two also go past my house so I'm having those days off.

Also got tickets to some of the rowing medals days which should be a nice day out. Wish I'd got tickets to some of the track cycling though.

Overall though I'm looking forward to it massively, certainly more than the European Championships.

I don't think it will be a farce at all. Sure, it's not going to cost as much as Oz or China, but I think it's going to be well organised . Only two things will spoil it for me; rain and if the anti-capitalists carry out their threat of disrupting the mens road cycling.
 
so far the majority of people said NO that is not very surprising

what are the main reasons for not looking forward to this event?
 
I think people are saying no as they are royally ****** off with all the hype & expense, Once the tournament starts & our lads start bringing in some medals I think more people will get involved.

or they are boring people :)

perhaps people cba with the rush, traffic and annoyance more than anything

I just don't care about the Olympics - Just like I often don't bother watching Rugby or Horse Racing - It just doesn't interest me in the slightest. I'll be more interested in Euro 2012 :)
 
If a person works 9-5 and it means their journey home will take 40 minutes more of course none would like that would they. But this is a typical scenario for many people who work across London. They will be delayed day in day out, it will be very busy so you can understand the frustration here.
 
Exactly why we should make it as good as possible. Sure we pay some money towards it but a lot money is generated through business means, and to say it's a complete waste is stupid as it will be drawing in revenue to this country directly and indirectly.

they always have v good fighters dont know why though as we never see many cuban fighters become professional
 
Couldn't care less, the sooner it's over the better. Although work wise I shouldn't complain, we will have far more full flights, more profit, so more shares and a big fat bonus.

I couldn't care less if we don't get a single medal.
