Are you materialistic?

As usual, I feel like I'm just echoing views which have already been shared but I'm going to do it anyway!

I am fairly materialistic, and I'm quite proud of the nice things I've managed to acquire. Having said that, and while I do believe having money certainly helps with being happy, no amount can compare to having a good bunch of mates.

Many people would disagree. Bring me the facts and maybe I'll consider your argument as a decent one.
Personally I see a pattern in Psychology, Philosophy and Astrology, maybe because I've done a lot of reading on the subjects.

It's a matter of opinion, you can't prove it true nor false and you should realise that.

Back in school my chemistry teacher started to dabble in astrology to find out more about it. He did a few predictions for one of his classes, and one day, gave everyone predictions for the wrong star signs. 60% of them though the predictions were accurate.

Oh and to answer the question. I'm as materialistic as I can afford to be, if I went and won the lottery, I would immediately become a lot more selfish

Yes... My primary hobby seems to be accumulating new hobbies and new things.

I like... stuff. I like buying it, I like it when it comes, I like playing with it. Then I like buying more stuff. Bad habit.

I think you should do some reading on the subject at hand before coming out with complete gibberish. It's got more to do with a Physiological Pattern than any alignment of constellations. It may have been so thousands of years ago, but it isn't anymore.

Just lol.

No opinion in it. The fact of the matter is that astrologers just make **** up on the spot. The only difference between Astrology and Religion is that Astrology doesn't even try to hide it.

What makes you think I haven't done any reading on the subject? So Astrologers these days have abandoned the idea it's anything to do with the stars/planets. Really? Hadn't heard that one. It's 'Physiological Patterns' now, is it? O-kaaaaaay. Good move - sounds even more vague and pseudoscientific - will be much harder to dispute it with actual knowledge if it doesn't even try to sound scientific. :p

I'd sacrifice every penny I've ever earned in exchange for the health and happiness of my family and loved ones.
You can't take it with you, money can't cure it, and you can't put a price on it.

I don't ever recall saying they 'abandoned' the idea. It's simply not as important as it was thousands of years ago. OH and I meant Psychological pattern, chrome spelling...

It's pointless trying to argue with someone who has absolutely no real knowledge on the subject other than their own disbelief.
It's like trying to explain to someone who knows absolutely zilch about computers how your memory is faster than the one in their laptop because it has a latency of CL-3-3-12.

I think I'll leave it here. I suggest doing some Googling on the topic.

You can put a price on the quality of health of people though
