No, not especially my anecdotal opinion but yes, including it.
My anecdotal opinion is as worthless as theirs is. That’s why I haven’t given it.

I stated my experience is different to the other persons in order to emphasise how worthless anecdotes are in terms of evidence or substance.

It's part of a bigger picture of taking every possible opportunity to run down Britain, The West, white people etc in a desperate attempt look clever. Their bitterness and hostility has increased considerable over the last few years with Brexit and Trump etc. The constant “grumble grumble Britian’s ****, everyone hates us, and here’s a made up anecdote to prove it grumble grumble”. Although irritating it is a good sign of the Overton Window moving back to sanity and common sense (or far-right as they call it).

Just look at this thread to get an idea of what I’m talking about. Amazingly D.P. isn’t in there!

I like football. Playing and watching. I find it entertaining/amusing.

I also don't understand picking a team to "support", or getting really, really, really excited when a particular team scores.

I like watching a good contest between two decent teams, which is why I find watching England so infuriating ;)

Not so much IQ, some extremely high IQ individuals have been into tribalism. It's in us all to some degree, the ultimate expression being family. Yes it's fun to point to football fans and show snobbery, "Oh I'm above all that" but I think it's naive to discount how important tribalism is to our history of civilisation and mental well being.

Tribalism is a double edged sword, it can cause fear and rivalry of others but it can also achieve great things when people work as a collective towards something bigger than themselves.

I think it's extremely dangerous to remove the idea of tribal identity for a mono culture where everyone must be deemed equal and all rivalries quashed. This is an absolute rejection of nature.

Cheering for England in the footy feels fantastic, it gets the blood and endorphins flowing, makes you feel alive.

However I am very grateful and happy to have been born in a country which gives me access to so much that others could only dream of.

We're only allowed to promote self-pitty, far left values and how hard done by minorities are now. Anything pro-British gets certain types of people triggered and for some reason we have to listen to those people :p

At least this team, and I am not a football fan by any means, seem fresh and work as a team. It is not a usual rehash of some tired thirty somethings multi millionaires (although I am sure they will be at some time) tripping over their bootlaces and failing to justify their eminence or even existence.

Pretty much sums up my feelings. Whilst I can appreciate them, I am not sure why I would be proud of achievements that are nothing to do with me or anybody I am not close to.

Glad I don't live in that right winger's dystopia. Hard left is becoming synonymous with PC - its de facto meaning now being anything a right wing disagrees with.
