Agreed, back on topic lol. I also edited my post after you quoted chap, a bit more drama yes, but it's how I feel and it's one of the main reasons I'm not proud to be British.

I mean they're 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants. You don't move to a country and immediately assimilate into that Nationality, that's ridiculous. If I moved to France and had kids, they'd still be raised by me, we'd most likely speak English and still enjoy English food and traditions, their children would most likely speak French and English as well, and they'd be aware they weren't "properly" French. Then their children would most likely be indistinguishable to the local population.
The problem in this country is that immigrants generally move here in large numbers, they move into the same area and basically set up a mini-version of their home country within the UK. Because of this they don't ever actually assimilate into British life. They don't feel British, so they obviously aren't proud to be British.
You have that backwards. The brits retiring to the Costa del sol are not working, are not paying taxes, are not being ;productive to the economy and have high costs due to health. The immigrants to the UK, especial form the EU, are young, more liekly to be higher educated, working, pay taxes, contribute to the countries productivity, and have very low social costs with good health on average.

Right now no. Our PM has no spine and is begging for scraps from the US while trying to act like the EU owes us one when the reality is we are not that special anymore.
Crime is rampant and a good percentage of youth think it's an actual career to be proud of.
Good People getting locked up for first offences while criminals get off with a suspended sentence, joke of a justice system. Murderers getting released.
This **** materialistic culture is in full swing and many people have no real morals or ethics of value. Empathy for others is out the window, so is hard work and being frugal/wise with your income.
I don't have problems with homos but to encourage it and teach it in school as a choice is a **** take. How about teach people to actually have some morals and rules they shouldn't cross.
What!? You talk about morals an ethics then say <nope> and imply its a rule that shouldn't be crossed?
And you can't encourage homosexuality and its not taught as a "choice" <nope>
Are you proud of your family? Bit odd if so, you didn't choose them.Being proud of your nationality seems a bit odd to me, as you can’t chose where you happen to be born, and I’ll wager none of us here have really achieved anything in our lifetime that’s contributed to shaping their country in any significant way.
I suppose to summarise my position, it kind of feels like taking credit for other people’s achievements.

I was on mobile, shorthand. It is taught as normal in schools now as equivalent to heterosexuality.
I don't have nothing against LGBT people, I have LGBT friends and I wasn't taught anything about LGBT things.
All is needed is an addendum to the sex education describing the dangers of anal sex and that condoms are a must.
No need to confuse primary school age kids.
As a british pakistani im not proud to be british and im not proud to be pakistani .
Why ? I have no patriotism in me what so ever i would never fight for any country let alone this country..all i care about are my children and aston villa lol
Punjabi Muslims or those of their descent, will have a very different take on homosexuality to many westerners. All part of multiculturalism.
You play a big enough part in their life to shape and change them though. You may not choose your family but often you are a big part of why they are the way that they are and visa versa.
Tbh you don't need a particular reason to be proud.
