Argos - book of dreams.

Ho, hoe, whore :o

Still got some stuff from the 80s at the family home; yeah, mostly garbage, like those small ornamental clocks nobody ever looks at. Dunno if my gameboy (late 90s) was bought from them but I'll assume it was, so that was nice.

I bought a GameBoy Pocket at Argos mid to late 90s but recently sold it. :(

Last thing I bought from Argos was a cheap mattress and that was more for convenience purposes not from drooling over...

On cost of games- can remember when Virtua Racing for the Mega Drive retailed at £69.99 (!!!). It came out in 1994, and had extra processing hardware on the cartridge to help with the graphics.

Games were regularly £45/50 at release, which was a lot at the time. The used market seemed booming though. As a kid, don’t think many of my Mega Drive games were new.

Saw the Sega Game Gear in the 93" catalogue, remember playing a game on that where you was like a caveman and you had to pick up large boulders and rocks, can't remember the name of the game but it was good fun.
