was surveyed this morning by a research group.

Apparently, Argos are researching people's opinions as they are thinking of doing away with the catalogue.

I must say, I regard the Argos catalogue as an institution. It was the go to place for Xmas presents when you was a nipper.

What do you think? Do you think it is an Eco-unfriendly, outdated antique of a shopping method, or do you think it still has a place in the modern retail world?

I have not had a catalogue in years, don't shop there much to be honest and if I do I find it a lot easier looking online.

The size of those things it's got to be at least one tree per catalogue.

As much as it is a weird nostalgia I would be fine with it being online only.

I must admit I'm surprised they have digitised their instore catalogues yet. Would have thought it would be touch screens with live stock levels rather than that item code keypad thing.

IKEA still give one out to everyone around here but it gets one look and goes into the recycle bin. I can see the Screwfix one being useful but if you're online then it's pointless. These things are from a bygone era.

With porn being readily available looking at all those ladies in their swimsuits and lingerie has had it's day as well. :p

And me!

I was a board game nut. Mouse trap, Ghost Castle, Game of life, Go for broke. You name it, I had it. Also had the thundercats figures and my prized possession, the car type thing they drove.

Mr Frosty the lollipop maker was awesome as well.

Oh the feels!

Argos books are the only book everyone has in there house but never read,i always pick a few up for myself and friends but never read it.
