ARHHH MY Barracuda 7200.10 WON'T WORK ON MY MOBO.
I have just brought 2X7200.1O hard drives and thay will not work on my mobo a ASROCK 775Twins-HDTV. I plug them both in and a message appears saying that it only surports SATA1. I have tried it with the jumpers on so to limit the hard drives to 1.5 GB and OFF 3.0GB but both will not work. Has any body had this problem? :(

The caps make that pretty awkward to read by the way - you might find some people will just ignore it because it's all-caps.

Anyway, have you updated your motherboard BIOS to the latest version?

:D lol!

What Phemo said is also true though - I'm only responding because I lve my 7200.10 so much. I don't think the BIOS will help necessarily because I've had a look at the release notes for all the BIOS's. What SATA controller is this exactly? Try if you can to read the info off the actual chip on the board - it will be a chip very close to the ports - no doubt Silicon Image or similar.

I've just edited my posting and took the caps of thanks. Have not updated bios yet.

With my Hitachi drives I got a warning before setting SATA-II mode that if I wanted to use the drives on another mobo I needed to set them to SATA mode before that otherwise the drive will not work.

It looks like your drives are set to SATA-II mode and they need to be set to SATA mode, but perhaps that can only be done on a mobo that supports SATA-II
