Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

42 fps while on skype with 3 people.

Of course it FEELS like 9 fps while playing but I don't want to start a 'this is not crysis' discussion. Not my game, waste of money.

Cheers for the FPS info..... Memory latency makes a big difference on the Benchmark,
my 860@4Ghz and 5870, went from 47 FPS at 9-9-9-28 running @2000MHz,... to 55 FPS by tightening the memory to 7-7-7-20 running@1600 MHz on the 08 benchmark.

Frye, it will play well on your setup, you need to change some settings, try turning shadow and post processing OFF

just got my 480gtx today and i did some arma 2 oa benchmarks.

first test i got 35fps with every single thing set to max, i then lowered the PP and got 39.

I finaly disabled HT and OC my cpu from stock speed to 3ghz and got 56fps hehe/

im sure if i clock it up to 3.5gh i should really hit 60fps lol. brilliant and OA is very very demanding.

Also. idle temps are at 50ish and load temps are 80ish. i can hear the fan, its louder than a 260gtx but not that loud.

I saw this on Steam I think a little while ago, but didn't really look into it much. I'll give the demo a whirl before deciding, I got a 5850 looks like I'll have to tone the settings down somewhat.

Quite enjoying this...completely different pace to BC2 (less manic). Just going through SP familiarising myself with all the controls. Then plan to perfect my transport chopper landings - the Merlin looks tempting in BAF. Shame I only get 31fps though - have disabled shadows and pp (only rose 3fps).

Certainly a thinking mans game.

When you use the ACE (for Combine Ops) mission generator to make a Spec Ops Combat scenario how do you accept the mission given to your team over the radio?

Also are there any good coop servers based in the UK that are reasonably casual?
