***ArmA 3 Thread***

Have to say I find it slightly obnoxious that they are actually selling a game while it's in Alpha.

I wonder if Steam will count this as a Pre-Order, i.e giving buyers the right to a refund. Seeing as an Alpha/Beta is no indication of you actually getting a full game at the end of it.

It's cheaper as a result and I hope you aren't actually implying there's a chance of it not being finished.

Can't please everyone, if you don't want it, don't get it.

But you'll get it for a hell of a lot cheaper and it's a Community Alpha, allowing those who want to input the chance to, modders to start modding and more.
This isn't your traditional alpha or developer, these are the good guys.

The old arma (and earlier) players know what they're getting already, we've been through these iterations many times. It's essentially the same game we love but much improved.

Going to start the download later, wish I'd taken the day off work though - got the feeling this game will be the one that pushes me and my system over the 'upgrade edge', I'd better start saving...

With everything on full, its running at about 40fps on my rig (2500k @ 4.7Ghz / 7970 Windforce 1100/1500 / 8Gig 1600Mhz Ram / 180GB Vertex 2) I havnt got any more time to test with lower settings to see if you can get it at a constant 60+

When I say everything on full, I mean everything on full including 8x AA!
