Armorsuit up - Lian li P80N watercooled build

About time I joined in with all the watercooling and thought I would share my build with you guys.

Latest (minus sound card)

Before Pics.

Just wasnt enough room to cable manage well was alright until i threw in a fan controller and another gfx card.

The plan is to use a single loop for cpu and eventually graphics upon next gens arrival, so for now a single 280 (140.2) rad will do and ill add in a 120.3 when the time comes.

Well I have the case and have ordered everything and the watercooling kit should be with me friday along with BF3 so not sure how much ill get done.

This case is huge and has plenty of potential not sure if i should thank OCUK for making me spend £500 over the last 2 days but I suppose I should.

Ill take as many pics as i can during setup

Cpu loop plan.

Ive gone for the slim Rad on the top due to restricted space up there and as i wont be able to fit it against the case ill be running it in a pull setup so the 2 140mm fans will be pulling the hot air out of the top through the "mowhawk".

Just got dispatch note from OCUK I should never have distrusted them.
My Radiator has also been dispatched.

So now the fun can begin.

Just a couple of picks of case nothing special just got it out for a look i love it so much, so glad i didnt get the 800d.

Hope the picture quality is ok the flash doesn't seem to have ruined it much.

Not happy one bit the retailer that I ordered my Radiator from have sent me the wrong damn item so instead of a slim 280 rad they have given me a nice big one yes its been discounted to the price I paid for the other one but it wont fit well thats my weekend ruined.

I bought my radiator from another supplier as ocuk dont do 280mm radiators i was supposed to get a slim Magicool 280 rad but instead got a Phobya G-Changer V1.2 280mm Dual Radiator : G-Changer 280 V1.2 which is a massive and wont fit even slightly unless i run with no fans.

I did buy everything else from OCUK which ill check in a bit as im at work atm.

Now i can either go with Plan B which if happens ill put up and order parts with either Sat delivery or get monday/tuesday off work.

Im not happy looks like its not going to be clear sailing afterall. Also i might just keep this rad and sell on MM as its a £58 rad and I can probably break even that way instead of RMA and having to cover costs myself.

Just checked my OCUK order and im missing 1 length of tubing.

Not a good start for me.

Turns out I have a 2m length TY 5UB for clearing that up

OCUK order was correct but as I ordered 2 x 1m lengths I thought it would come like that so i assumed it would be 2 pieces so automatically thought its wrong so i asked. But I was informed that I have a 2m length and all is good.

I'm kind of lucky as all orders turn up to my work before 9am so when I walk in there it is on my desk (ty receptionist), but if I deliver to my home it really is anytime between 8:00-18:00.

Just think though i have to sit here all day looking at the parts.

WOOP the other supplier is sorting me out they are sending out my correct radiator for tommorrow delivery and picking up the wrong item so project should be a go go.

Not quite sure what your getting at with the sum up of thaaarr.

Rocky start but should be fun and when I get a bit more money ill order some sleeving not sure on colours yet.

Ya I do like that blue and goes very nice with the mayhems blue pastel range, was thinking of blending the sleeves with another colour or 2 like grey or white.

Making a start today just thought id put up some pictures.

Stripped down so i can rotate door to open the right way. Had some trouble here 2 screws got chewed beyond belief and one had to get pulled out with plyers. Door is now on the "right" way around i lose out on the external Power lights as once again some of the screws impossible to remove but tbh ive not had HDD Light for years and ill know if the pc is on.

My Radiator turned up at 8am this morning so been checking out fittings and mountings, looks all good had a trial fit went alright but will see after i flush it.

And I made a run to the shops to grab a few things i forgot and or thought id be ok without came to £5 so not end of the world.

Well im going to flush the radiator now and hope to make a start.

Its getting there i just fitted the Rad its the stealth master all you can see is the fittings now trying to finanlise loop plan and chose which 2 out of 8 inlets to use on my Res.

Still not decided if i should go
1. Res -> Pump -> CPU -> Rad -> Res
2. Res -> Pump -> Rad -> Cpu -> Res

From a quick look its option 2.

Ill throw up some pictures when I have decided upon which inlets to use and stuck down the pump also maybe a quick clean i gots figure prints all over it.

I went with option 2 and I have got pump + Rad + Res fixed and have pipes between them here a few pics.

I have my res filled up apart from 2cm shall I fill it to top?
The water moves around a lot in the res at the top level I assume this is fine and that I should just put the anti cyclone adapter I got with it.

Anywho here are some pictures.

Any feedback would be great. Time to eat not stopped since 8am this morning I have taken my time and hoping it has paid off.

Last few pics

A Really stuffed HDD rack.

Motherboard is in no cables just yet and i can have my heatsink tops back on my dominators yay.

Cables are in bit of a tight fit but no major issue as there is room at the back.

All working now after a long day about 99% of small bubbles gone now as well and no leaks so far.

Cable management was better in this case but could still have done with a little more room round the back and the grommets for cable routing could have been longer.

Well thats it for now unless i give in and get some more watercooling and can source a window without paying around the £100 mark.

Also looking for some dye for the water as draining just to change colour in the first few days-weeks too much effort.

On another note im quite happy overall with this setup the case fans are very quiet and the difference between high and low speeds on the fans makes little to no difference to the temps been running prime for an hour and hitting 40-42 on most cores compared to 56 on air with max fan speed and that was pretty loud.

Well I just spent some more money and should be getting some new bits later this week.

Thanks Cleeecooo for helping me decide on what i should use.

Now i have to think about how im going to drain current loop hmmmm.
