the same as if i go blown up by a IED.
and i supose i just gotta hope for the best, its a 50/50 realy, on what the best thing is to do, own up, or just say i havnt had anything, because if i say i havnt done anything and they find traces of it, i will get binned for lying surely ?
It'll be out of your system by now. I smoked weed at a party once to then be told about a drugs test for my upcoming job which I had to book in the next two weeks. If I remember correctly it was about 10 days inbetween and I passed. It's only if you smoke it regularly that it can be detected in your urine for upto 30 days. I was bricking it before the test.
I nearly failed the opiates though because of the cocodamol I'd been taking.

Nah, hard drugs stay in your system for less time than weed.
I don't really know the reason tbh. It might be for health and safety reasons.

You'll just have your urine tested, you can admit to taking drugs now in a "I stupidly tried it once" way. It will go more against you if it's a class A you admit to.
Once you're in it's just not allowed, CDT comes around quite often and detects many soldiers, not that unusual to lose 10 at a time, some will get another chance and go on a rehab course others will be kicked out.

ah i see, the best thing i could do then is drink allot of water to flush waters there away. i mean, selection wont be for another 3+ weeks so

You will be ok if it was a one off, when I joined it was completly unacceptable but the army changed as it became more of the norm that young adults may have dabbled, there just wern't enough angelicly clean recruits and you were loosing men who could have made great soldiers for the sake of one mistake.
I admitted to having tried it to both the RAF and the army. I ended up as a military policeman. Make of that what you will. Personally I'd 'fess up, though I doubt they test for drugs on selection. It's quite an involved process to test for drugs, rather than simple medical conditions that might preclude you at selection.

You get Lance Jack out of training, yes. Supposed to allow you more authority over most of the soldiers you will be dealing with. After that, full screw in 2 years, and Class One full screw (assuming you pass the course, plenty don't) after 4-5 years.
Stripey is dead-mans-boots tho. It's not unusual to see good coppers still at corporal after 15+ years :/

Just to confirm to you, it's a urine test, and no they don't test on selection. They only test for medical information.

Sucks that I did my hip in right at the end of basic, and was MD'd right at week 11.
Still, got another interview a week on Wednesday for my re-application. Fortunately, not touched drugs in years now so the urine test isn't any bother to me, unless I have diabetes or something lol.
What you hoping to join out of interest?
