Absolutely doing my nut trying to find the fault now, i've had the leads off, shorted to a bolt, good bright spark, then a plug on the end, still a good spark, so it's CAN'T be anything ignition related, can it?
Blocked injector maybe?
Off with the airbox, dig through a load of pipes and wiring and pull the injector bar, turn it over and they're all spraying fuel, so it's not that either. I swapped the 1st & 2nd injectors to do a bit of testing and button it all back up.
Still missing
Pull 2nd injector plug and nothing changes, so it is definately number 2 cylinder causing the problem. Swapping HT leads is a snag as they're "cut to fit" jobs and don't reach, but when i swapped the lead from number 1 to number 2 the problem moved to number 1 (because it's got no lead providing a spark i'm guessing!), and removing the injector plug to number 2 caused it to have a fit, so it IS a spark problem.
She's back on the road for tonight, it's not misfiring, but the tickover is still lumpy.
Main dealer - £13 for one lead (which is all i need), should be here by monday.
However, my SJ is currently off the road as it appears to be missing it's longest HT lead
