Arrgh - Fire alarm!!

The ******* fire alarm just went off and we had to stand in the car park for 45 mins. :mad:

The room where the alarm went off from is next to mine, but the great thing is that the girl who lives there isnt even here right now, she has gone to stay at her boyfreinds I think!

Should be good to see the reception see gets when ever she turns back up.

Ah well back to bed for me.

I was staying in a hotel once and the fire alarm went off at about 2am.

I'd only just got back to my room from the bar so turned around and walked back into the hallway to be greeted by a leggy blond wearing nothing more than her bra and knickers.

, you should live here mate, nearly every week the landlord forgets to top the electric key up and it just plonks off in the middle of the night, sometimes even the emergency £5 has been exhausted, It's a real bummer as If I forget to check and it goes of while I'm using my projector it could damage my lamp or even the projector it's self so I have to remember to check the main electric box just so I can watch a dam film, plus I usaully have all my system on downloading 'stuff'.

Worst I ever saw in res halls, candle in bathroom for mood lighting, underneath aerosol can, left to percolate for a while, then BOOOM, trashed two rooms, and the guy sitting at his desk three rooms to the side was physically moved backwards, along with the wall. Nice mess to tidy up that was. no one complained about the fire alarm going off for the rest of the semester after that.

And they wonder why we said NO CANDLES :eek:

what i found worse was that at 5am you thought it would be a good idea to text me(repeatedly) to tell me of your annoyance at being woken up :/

One of my best memories at Uni was a massive 2am snow ball fight when we were turf out due to someone trying to fry something after coming back from the bar drunk, (I think it was people from my flat but they were in one of the other flats when they did it).

Now we just have them at work, (normally due to the weekly test which they tend to have issues turning the alarm off properly afterwards), but that just ends up with us all wandering around the carpark on conference calls

this happened on the first night here at Coventry uni owned house place.
It was 3 in the morn and some girl was straightning her hair :confused:

anyways we had to stay out for about 15 mins, but the feeling when i got back in the bed, OHH god, iv never felt home the way i felt that welcoming warmth!

Theres actually a scary ammount of people who just dont bother getting up for fire alarms anymore at our place.

This happened to us a few months back.. A water leak had unknowingly flooded the lift shaft and took out the electrics.

We just went down the pub after 20 minutes.

the worse thing was when i was in france my friend woke up saying the fire alarm was going off....it was a bin lorry reversing :mad:

but why there was a bin lorry at the top of a mountain at 2am is beyond me

Big old fine for that at our place, they checked every room and anyone still in bed got a massive fine, bigger than the muppets that set the alarm off in the first place. Saw some brilliant arguments among flat mates as they would fine the whole flat in which the alarm was triggered unless anyone was man enough to fess up and take the hit!

they test them every friday morning at about 10am here :mad:
