ARRRRGGHH , but it's so small ...

Been working/living in Cornwall since January last year! Back then they played that annoying Fireflies song and Bad Romance ALL DAY LONG.

hahah
where you too dude? you come to my county, and don't even tell me! I'm hurt dude!

Try Pirate FM in Cornwall. It's so unbearable that it eventually becomes comfortable and dare I say it, charming.

Would you like a song with your adverts? :p

Trago Mills adverts suck balls!

I was subjected to it for a while last week, reminded me why I dislike local radio station and just don't listen to radio in general.

It's a commercial venture, very few people listen to the radio for more than a couple of hours at a time, so playing the same songs over and over again isn't a problem, and choosing the most popular songs makes them the most money. If you want to listen to something that isn't mainstream then get an mp3 player, that's all you can do. They could play something else but more people would just change the station or complain than would be happy for it.

I do wonder how they get such massive ratings when everyone I've ever asked and spoken to agrees that capital is pretty much the devil's stinking turd.

Capital plays music for people that don't really like music.

Then you keep a good social circle :D I hate the stuff but understand that they're popular songs for a reason, generally the people who like it are the "If it wasn't good music it wouldn't be popular" types but that's fair enough.

Absolute radio

They generally don't repeat songs within a 72 hour period

Their motto is ''We don't repeat songs during your working day, there's nothing worse!'' which is so true
