ARRRRGGHH , but it's so small ...

I want to kill myself. I have to listen to Capital every day. I can't change the station. I actually got so annoyed I went a little crazy and tried to audit the amount of repeats they were playing. Today for example, Jessie ******* J is leading the way with 4 plays of Do It Like A Dude in 4 hours and 3 plays of Nobody's Perfect. I ******* hate Jessie J and her painful voice. Other artists I normally like I now detest after having been played to death on this joke of a radio station. I also roughly worked out that per shift, the DJs will start to recycle songs roughly at the 2 hour point of their shows.

Speaking of whom- where do they find such dull, generic sounding, vapid DJs?? In particular, some Dr Fox sound-a-like on 10am-1pm called Roberto (his real name is Neil Williams, WTF), followed by a sound-a-like of him called 'The Bassman'. They have zero personality. Unbelievable. I read a good article in The Guardian about Capital, which branded it something like 'the station where you're never more than 20 minutes away from Rihanna'. So true. Rant over. For now.

Heart FM or whatever it's called is beyond bad... Maybe is waterboarding doesn't make people talk then they unleash Heart FM...

And this is one of the reasons I don't listen to commercial radio, it always seems to have the same couple of dozen tracks running:p

IIRC one of the sites that tracked what was played (unique tracks, artists and how often), found that most of the commercial channels had something like 500 tracks with some of them being repeated multiple times a day (I think R1 had more different artists per month than many of the other stations had individual tracks).

Jack fm, is the best comercial radio, why can't comercial radio just have songs and adverts with huge playlist of thousands. I hate breakfast radio as well, get those annoying people off and play music.

Didn't Zefan do something with the RAF? In which case it'll be due to being at RAF St Mawgan. ;)

Edit: Zefan beat me...with a stick. :(

but wasn't the site mothballed?
last I heard only the yanks where still there and they where clearing out soon!

unless you're in the golf ball?

I've never listened to Capital FM but the advert alone makes me want to punch the tv. I'm guessing it's like all the other commercial "pop" stations. The same crap followed every five minutes by adverts and crappy 'jingles'

I listen to Radio 2 at work and apart from Steve Wright it's fine.

NOW GET OFF MY LAWN.
