youve got to be joking i thought hleb was crap he constantly gave the ball away gilberto was class though i think hes up there with makelele as a defensive midfielder
Nope.
He was bad going forward, he's always go on a mazy run, and then fluff it up at the end. But his defensive performance was impressive. Considering thats not his usual job. He was all over the place.

Arsenal will win the final, its meant to be; everything is just too similar to Liverpool last year.
1. Poor league form
2. Battling with there local rival for 4th place (and looking like they will lose it, as Liverpool did)
3. Juve in 1/4's
4. Potentially losing there "Star" player if they don't win CL or at least qualify for CL next year.
5. Vs Milan in the final???

Do I go? I will have to play at least £80, with the chance of no ticket. None of my mates in the Yorkshire club want to go, £140 if I get a ticket, but I get stuck on a bus with loads of northerns

Mmmmmm

Go! I was stuck in Munich for the Euro2004 final, tickets to Lisboa were £1500, tickets to Athens £280 for the day of the final, I went to neither, been regretting it ever since!!

GGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!1111

Hats off to Arsenal after a dismal gritty performance.

Well done Lehman for really giving Villareal grass strokers a real slap in the chops.

They were dirty diving little.....*

Newcastle fan wishing you all the way...

Mind you i hope milan beat barce tomorrow.. then ill be slightly torn between who id want to win... But it looks like Barca will go through :)

If you can't get a ticket from the club you'll end up paying £300+ for a ticket from a tout. I paid £350 (cost over £1000 with travel, hotel etc) for my CL final ticket last year, could end up more with the final in Paris this year with it being far easier to get to.
BTW it was worth it.

Not all that

I have a sneaking suspicion that AC Milan will turn in a great performance tomorrow, its not home and dry yet for Barca.

I agree Barca have the best side in European football, but AC are not out yet.

Congrats to Arsenal.

We did it last year and I hope you do the same.

What a strange scenario.

Liverpool were 5th last season to the bitter city Rivals Everton who claimed fourth. Arsenal 5th and Spurs there bitter North London Rivals are 4th...

Could be another one of those omens that Liverpool encountered last season!!! lets hope they go all the way!!!

I might be able to get you a ticket if you ask nicely:)

a dismal performance from arsenal, but a worse performance from the ref. I think he had a few quid on villareal. lunberg was taking a lot of **** in the second half, completely unchallenged by the ref. Henry was fouled a few tmes too, again, nothing, some clown in yellow gets bumped into by the smallest player on the pitch and he is down like he was shot, clearly taking tips from Robben. Whats that you want a penalty, Sure. I was half expecting the ref to mak it be retaken

Its not as if they had not made several attempts at getting a penalty.

I knew it was coming. Just glad for mad jens

Great result, poor game worse ref

WELL DONE ARSENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Emailed you mate.

Kev you going to apply?

I'll be applying via the club, although money is so tight, that I'll have to choose between the final and a season ticket and I'm leaning towards the season ticket, as much as that will kill me on the day. :( :(

Go to the final, you may never get another chance. Especially with the new stadium next year you shouldnt have too many problems getting tickets for individual games that you want to see (possibly all of them) and that way it will spread the cost.

True, if you become a red member (You should be already I think?) you'll have no problem gettting tickets for all but the biggest games Could always rent out your season ticket for a season? wink;)

Congrats to Arsenal!

And to any Arsenal fans on here, do not even give it a moments thought about whether you are going to try and get tickets for the final or not. Champions league final was the best day of my life (dont let the missus ever hear me say that) last year!

Just get yourselves down to Paris to soak up the atmosphere even if you cannot get a ticket. Bunk in, do whatever it takes....just get there!

Congrats once again.
