AS/A Levels

yah. uni's just care about ucas points. If you beat the requirements, your in.

I really doubt this is possible unless you are superhuman.

I did IB before A-level and didn't do well enough to get into university even though having in excess of 100 ucas points more than the entry requirement. Rather than re-sitting I decided to do A-levels, I should have done them in the first place because they are so easy.

Have you done M1?

I honestly cannot do it.

I'll tell you what was funny today, a lot of the students in the room were sitting there 1st a level exam ever.

It was my 14th :o :(

Probably a bit off topic, but I had my Level 3 Electrical 303 exam today, 6 hours long and came out with a Credit :D.

I'm doing that next year. Apparently it's just the SUVAT equations + a bit. I've done SUVAT for Physics GCSE and also for AS so I hope I'm okay

I heard the same as well, I have done it all including vectors, friction with forces acting on slopes. All of that malarkey that's in further maths GCSE.

Well, that pretty much means I won't have to come in for those lessons if I get permission ( which I hopefully will).

Have you done M1?

I honestly cannot do it.

I know what you mean, I've taken it twice now and my highest mark for it was 58, which was weird because when my teacher went over the past papers I'd done she thought I was set for an A. To be honest I think my problem is that it's like 30% maths, 70% comprehension. :p

I like being able to look down on those GCSE kids... I feel like I should be taking their dinner money or something...

Anyway, I have 8 in total:
Maths/fm (Edexcel) : C3,C4 retakes, M2, M3, FP2 (FP2 should be worth a whole damn A level it's so hard!).
Chem (AQA): Unit 5
Phys (AQA): Unit 5 / c (the normal radioactivity, thermodynamics stuff with applied option - engines, rotational dynamics etc)
D&T (3D) (AQA) : Unit 3 (thought I left essays behind when I finished English GCSE - seems not :( )

At least I am safe in the knowledge that I only need half UMS in Chem and Phys exams to get my remaining 2A's for uni, all the others are just for apples'n giggles. :D

They start on 12th June, end on 27th June, and I start study leave next week, so I have aaages to go.

It really does feel strange to know that this is my last week of school ever. I'm going to miss it.

1st one on 13th of June,
Last one on 23rd of June.

9 exams in ten days...
6 maths papers (C3, C4, S1, M1, FP2, FP3)
1 computing paper
1 general studies
1 critical thinking.

I did BUSS1 today, how did you find it? I got a bit lost on the Market Share question- other than that for me it went well :D

yea, I think it was the market size question, that's the only one that baffled me! Also there was a question stating that we had to explain "the if strengths of Kate's business plan will outweigh the weaknesses" - that question kinda confused me, are we supposed to give the strengths and weaknesses of a business plan?
