Asda just rang

This reminds me of one time when I went to Boots to top up many moons ago. I asked for £20 to be put on my Orange card, gave them the top up card/and direct debit card. They said there was a problem with their system and they couldn't do the top up. Later that day I rang 453 and I had been topped up.

God was smiling for me that day.

or where theyd got your number from....?

sounds like a scam, depends do you have a receipt / proof you went in there at the time?

Read the whole thread, it was ASDA Home Delivery - not only do they have his phone number, they have his address.

I can't believe the number of people saying you shouldn't pay up. You purchased goods and clearly could afford to pay for them at the time, if £70 was a huge amount to you, you would have noticed the extra money in your account.

I had a transaction fail recently due to a system timing out and losing the authorisation code. The company sorted it out on their own though, just sent me a letter saying the payment had failed because of an issue at their end and they were going to put it through again on a certain date. I'm surprised ASDA didn't do this, as they're entitled to.

True, if there that botherd then

Edit: And if you got a recipt lol....

This.
Why on earth are you all saying to pay them?
1. The circumstances seem outrageously shady.
2. If it is official let ASDA send a formal letter with details. Just wait for them to chase it this far.
3. Speak to your bank to check the transaction etc etc, If you are not obligated, dont pay.

so my thread yesterday got edited as asda is now a competitor (yeah apparently it's true) and now we have a thread in GD with ASDA in the title.. madness i tell you
