ASDA Parent & Child parking - fine for misuse

The impression I'm getting from this thread is that generally people would like car parking spaces to be wider, to reduce the risk of door damage/dents. To achieve this, some are resorting to the wide berths given to parent/child parking spaces.

They should go the other way and buy a gee-wiz.

Just go shopping at 9:30pm.

No children and no queues. Also loads of car parking spaces. Not really that arsed about fresh food etc so not a major problem.

Ok, on parking spaces.. cars have been around for a LONG time, yet its only recently that these parent spaces have appeared..... you managed without them before, so what changed?

Cars have been around for a LONG time, yet it's only recently that airbags have appeared. You managed without them, so what changed?

Then replace the word "airbag" with any other device/scenario that has been devised to make the lives of some people better.

It has to be said though, you are one of the most confrontational, agressive and strange people I have ever met on this forum. You join mid thread, don't grasp the topic fully by the look of things and then while I'm replying to someone completely else you manage to convince yourself I called YOU, personally a name and questioned your IQ, and when I try to explain what you missed in the whole conversation you throw a tantrum.
Look. Sukebe.
Nothing was remotely written in your direction. Certainly not this thread. Any part of it. no one called you by name, no one asked for you, no one said directly anything in bad faith remotely targeting your person, nick, position, what have you. I for one, wasn't even talking to you, about you, around you, in any way, shape and format. You picked some random quote, from my reply to someone completely else, treating about some general idea and you dare to insist I called you "stupid"? What is this? At this point I don't even know what you want and what to do with your accusations. To me it looks like you joined around page 4 with some massive chip on your shoulder to pick up a fight. Not with me, mate. Not now, not ever. It's not my thing. So Mr. I'll happily do it for you. Bang. You are on permanent ignore.

He got the wrong end of the stick, come on - who REALLY gives a doggie doo?

Far more important things in life, given that I have just wasted 20 odd minutes of mine reading 5 pages of this drivel about the merits of kids , supermarkets & car parks! I'll draw a line at your post & goto bed! :p:D

Awesome! A fight in Motors and I'm not a part

As a lurker of around 6 years (and poster for about, oooh, 3 months). I am truly shocked.

:D

Think this thread has run its course though.

Get rid of M&B and Disabled spaces.. that'll solve the arguments.. neither are a life or death necessity, if people want more 'access' or just want to protect their cars, then just do what any sensible person would do and park accross 2 spaces, that caters for everyone..

:)
