Girl at uni's 21st tonight and me and mates going in suits (last minute decision) but I realised I left mine at home. In Asda however I got some nice black trousers and jacket for £25. Already had a shirt.

How cool is that? It might only last a night (or two) but I was dead suprised at the quality of it and the nice fit. :D

Oh.

Your suit is a product of Walmart no doubt made in a third world country and the final stitch put in at the UK so that they can label it as a UK product.

Doesn't actually say where it's made in both the trousers or the jacket. If neither product states where it's been made then I fail to see how you could say what you have said. Im not saying your wrong though, just stating we probably both don't know. Anyway, thanks for your comment ;)

No one see the label? Think it's time those babies get the snip and hit the bin. :p

Saw about these on the news a few weeks ago. They'd done a street survey asking people to guess the price - everyone was guessing approx. £75-£150 iirc. By all accounts they seem pretty good so well done on the bargain :)

edit: I really didn't copy my first line from the post above ;)

But then again if third world countries didn't have jobs like that then the families that had those jobs would probably not be living as they wouldn't have a job.

But lets not turn this thread into an argument...

 Why does this matter? Sounds like a bargain even if it only lasts for a few occasions

Personally speaking I can't stand the kind of slavery that corporations use to make cheap products available to us.

even if you brought a designer one the chances are it will have been made in a thirs world country anyway.

i detest everything about asda but the george stuff is actually pretty good. hence why i bought a jacket and trousers from there. and i love some of the shirts.

Thanks for the comments.

Those stating your against this so called "slavery" I'd put money on the fact you ARE wearing something made in a developing country.
