Ashes of the Singularity Coming, with DX12 Benchmark in thread.

I See, all seems to be within the Margin of error. Is some small bottle-necking going on with utilisation hovering around 98%

Is your CPU overclocked at all? or any chance of doing an overclocked run?

It is overclocked. :p

It's at 4.7Ghz.

:D I see.

Then you know what we need?

Tried giving it a tad more voltage, made no difference. :D

Ah poop. I guess you are getting the best you can, new driver or not. Still good stuff though. And if it was to fix the MSAA, then it has not made a difference by the look of things. Unless there is some improved IQ somewhere for the same performance.

has anyone got any 290X / FuryX results on the default "high" settings @ 1920x1080

I've installed but whenever I change any of the video settings the game kicks me out and when I log back in everything is back to default

getting 98fps avg all batches on DX12 on a clocked 980ti

or can anyone tell me where the settings.ini file should be (their forum mentions "MyGames\Ashes of the Singularity\settings.ini") as I don't appear to have one

Only played couple of maps. Both have ended me alt tabbing out of the game and crashing that way :D

Game itself looks quite promising. Those who likes supreme commanders will surely like this aswell. Btw, benchmark shows one map with many units. But there are actually bigger maps in game, with space for a lot more units :)

I actually finished and won a large battle last night with three normal AI. I am sure the balance is not quite right yet as it was actually really quite difficult and has taken me perhaps 20 games to win one. I still get occasional crashing as well but can seem to dial in more stability by clocking my graphis card memory back 100mhz.

I do think it will be a really good RTS which is good as I have been waiting for a good one for a long time :)

what clocks/system specs are you running Andy? i have a 3930k at 4.5 and a 980ti at 1475ish/8000, and am interested in getting the game. when is the release date proper?

Are you sure that wasn't a 98% GPU bound score?

5820k @ 4.625, 980ti @ 1480/7600 for that run
I have no idea when the release date is, I only really signed up for founders to get the benchmark running

it was about 30-40% GPU bound, the CPU and GPU scores were within a few fps of each other

I really want to test other settings but it simply won't let me do anything other than the default settings at the mo - I have a support ticket in, it looks like the setup didn't create a settings ini, the only thing I've not tried is a complete reinstall

That issue sounds odd but you might not be missing much. I managed to get it to accept lower settings but couldn't get it stable on them, the benchmark crashed if I changed any single setting away from default.

I don't want to lower any, I want to raise them to match the settings reviewers used to see what an overclocked 980ti is capable of :D

Lower, higher, didnt seem to matter or make any difference. The only difference I could see was that with anything changed it would crash in a spectacular fashion :D - Regardless I am still happy I bought it and like the way it is going :)

Only downside is I now need a faster PC. :p

OK so not a million miles away then, though your cpu is probably a good 15% quicker if not more.

I'm sure if there is a problem with a-sync Nvidia will deal with it somehow...even if it means heavily optimising a driver for just this game

Yeah, if raising settings didn't improve FPS, then you are CPU Bound. :D

It is a great game and hope for more to come.
