Ashes of the Singularity Coming, with DX12 Benchmark in thread.

The question it raises is maybe the err tech review sites are useless.

Goodness knows how they managed some of their figures !!!

Yeah, indeed. I also don't think all tech sites used the same settings, i just noticed that WCCFtech used 6 samples for their temporal AA while other sites were using the default 12.

But Halving the Temporal AA sampling did give a noticeable boost to the FPS.

You sure Temporal AA is off? it is still saying 12 samples.

Also notice that with MSAA off you are becoming CPU bottle necked on the 9590.

These runs are with TAA turned off, ignore the settings in the results screens as it says TAA is turned on but it is most definitely off. You can tell by the increase in scores.:)

5960X @4.0
DX12
Temporal AA turned off (ignore what it says in the results screen).

Ooh nice for both of you. Disabling temporal AA added a nice boost.

Shall have to compile some of our own results to see how they stack.

Graphics options menu is bugged, as sometimes it disables features on its own, and does not let enable them anymore. That's why my Glare Quality is Off, since it does not allow me to enable it :(
I will run with Temporal AA disabled to see what's what

Edit: added screenshot of 4k with TAA disabled ;)

Edit2: almost forgot: Titan X, move aside :D, sorry couldn't help it :D

You can edit your settings in the settings.ini, things like res, iq, etc under docs/my games/ashes...

I would like this game, but it's only going beta next year, eeeek i will have a new gfx card by then and God knows how many drivers will be out by then, which makes it a bit of a moot point right now.

thanks, will have it in mind.

now we need multigpu support enabled. please Oxide :D

Nearer to christmas from what i trawled up in oxide forums.

Dx12 brah :D Drivers should not change much between now and then.

Streetlight. Could you give screenshot of cpu usage. There has to be something really strange going on with AMD cpu's, as they don't seem to be scaling even close what they did in starswarm, or dx12 api.

It would be nice to have pictures, as this is a CPU heavy RTS benchmark. So i believe the AMD parts are becoming CPU bound very quickly across a few of the cores. So if one core is getting thrashed and it cant spread the load then the entire simulation is being slowed.

This benchmark is running a full game simulation. its not just a graphical benchmark.
