Ashes of the Singularity Coming, with DX12 Benchmark in thread.

All that usage is due to game simulation, not the graphics stack. It is an RTS game. Also it is not as draw call heavy as people think, if you scroll down on the dx12 results window, it will show you the number of batches used for each scene. Normal is around 11k while heavy only goes up to around 60k. Unlike the 3dmark api test, this has a lot more than just simple textured cuboids being rendered.

And that tweet is interesting. I wonder what he means by that.

I didn't know any modern MB had AGP :confused:

@UkkolaPetri I think some reviews are actually seeing MB issues. My numbers for 8350 are much higher. Could be an AGP issue on the MB

I decided to run few cpu benchmarks just to see scaling around cpu scores. Here are my results:

I7-3770k @ 4.3GHz

High preset, no Temporal AA, no MSAA

1C/1T Tries to run, then crashes
1C/2T Tries to run, then crashes
2C/2T Tries to run, then crashes
2C/3T 35.6
2C/4T 46.3
3C/3T 49.7
3C/4T 51.1
3C/5T 58.1

Edit, for some reason my cpu wanted to heat a lot more when testing 3C/3T for example, and I had to rerun test couple of times, as cpu started to throttle. (yeah, I have intel reference cooler on cpu) :D
 
AGP is the standard that was used for graphics cards before PCI-E became standard. He probably means some compatibility issue between the mobo and gpu.

Yes I know, I still got a ati card laying about which was agp, I just wondered what he meant, as thought maybe it could mean something else.

Interesting to see hyperthreading working so well.
 
Completely correct post, lets hope people manage to read and understand it instead of getting their fanboy knickers in a twist.
