asia23fab's all encompassing graphics card problem thread

So dont worry about 1 tdr crash in Batman?

Well, if batman Ak is unplayable... I mean it's not like the game is unstable or anything.

Maybe you should rma just to be sure.

Or sli, and it'll only crash half as often with two carDs because you will be splitting the load.

New cards always have teething trouble, its the price you pay for the performance (along with the ludicrous price tag :p).

If you want a smooth, bug free experience, buy the last generation.

Not necessarily, depends on many things about the new card. If it's a substantially different architecture with immature drivers, then yes there may be teething problems (e.g. HD7970 or GTX480). If the architecture isn't radically different and the drivers are working as they should, then the card should run just as reliably as the previous model.

My last few cards I have bought pretty much on release and not had any stability or performance issues. They worked just as well as the cards they replaced, but just faster. Any problems I experienced were driver related and affected older cards too.

you have had a TDR? Wow..sorry for you man. Your machine is not well. I suggest you replace each part of your machine part by part to see if you can get to the bottom of this. Included everything. Including the pwr cables to your fans and SATA cables.

Also get rid of dust...

Good luck man. I wouldn't wish a TDR event to happen to my worst enemy.

Lol Oblivious to every answer and keeps on asking.

Bet this guys a nightmare in every other aspect of life as well...

"do you want fries with that?"

"yes and can I have a burger?"

"do you want fries with that?"

"yes and can I have a burger as well?"

"do you want..." etc, etc :p

According to what you said.
So if i had 1 TDR its something with my hardware then?

absolutely. do as i said. start replacing all parts one by one. everyone will agree with my advice. so do that and come back if that doesn't work

This. Wouldn't wish a TDR on my worst enemy. Last time I had one I had to replace 2 sata cables, the CMOS battery,a stick of ram and the power supply :(

The way he phrases certain things reminds me of the contractors at work.

"Can I overclock with..."
"I am not really interested in overclocking..."

Make up your mind. Either you do if you don't.

(I was wondering if you can safely stick your finger in your colon, but only the finger, nothing else so don't suggest it. Of course, I am not really interested, it's just a question) /S
