Some of the naive comments posted here are quite simply astounding. There is good and bad in everyone, from all walks of life regardles off creed or colour, religeon or social stature. Sure their are some grotty areas of Bradford populated by the Asian communities, as with many areas of England but there are also just as many, if not more populated by Whites. Skin colour has nothing to do with it.

Get a grip OP. Sure it's a disgusting crime and I for one would like to see them hung or worse. Because they are asian has nothing to do with it other than to inflame an already precarious situation. Do you think the story would have recieved as much attention had the gang been white and the girl been asian or worse, white/white, asian/asain? I doubt it very much.

Reminds me why i hate most religions. In Christianity and Islam (among many other religions) women are treated badly and never as equals. Their holy scriptures glorify rape, and their is no denying it, its in writing.

Before i get flamed, its clear i am not talking about all islamics or all christians, im friends with many of both and some of them are the kindest people you could meet.

But when a 'holy book' which is meant to be divine, and meant to teach morals and guidelines to life AND also glorifies rape and mistreatment of women, thats not on for me.
 
Generally speaking i think people need to be more thoughtful on the subject and less quick to shout, "thats racist!"

When a survey says "most violent crimes in the USA are committed by African Americans", that's not racist, thats a fact. People need to understand this.

And of course whether black, white, red, yellow, blue, they all need to be punished the same.

Very likely, but they aren't as prevalent as I'd like! Hell, I'd rather have a gang of traditional Triads hanging around my area than the local gang of brain-dead, deprived white hoodlums. It'd be more likely that they'd leave me alone by virtue of being an everyday person, rather than a target.

The 'fact' is actually more African Americans get 'convicted' of violent crime, which is a very different thing.

That's an unsound argument - just because it's not reported in the news, or because you haven't seen it anywhere doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't happen.

So are you saying that because it's only certain ethnic groups that pray on white girls and that because you haven't read about white men praying on Asian groups, that it doesn't happen? Because that doesn't logically follow.

Can you name the number of times these cases come up in the news?

You might want to actually read those books before you claim to know what is in them.

It's also a fact that many African Americans are poorer than their white counterparts and this has a whole myriad of other issues attached to it (higher rates of pregnancy, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and gang membership all of which can lead to crime). So, statistically, people who are "poorer" commit more crimes. Therefore, wouldn't it be just as far to say that "most violent crimes in the USA are committed by poor people"?
